The following list of ten (10) Agent Ops will be made available to every Ingress Agent from 00:00 to 23:59 local time at each Phase:

Does "made available" mean that you have to be active in this period to start (and it remains available thereafter, like PoGo special research) or that you have to complete it during this period (like Pogo timed research)?

Each Agent completing each Agent Ops in the list above earns their Faction 1 raw point.

Does this mean "Each agent who completes all Agent Ops in the list earns their Faction 1 raw point in total" or "Each agent earns their Faction 1 raw point for each Agent Ops they complete"?

    1. The event is available from 00:00 to 23:59:59 in your timezone.

    2. Each event an agent completes is 1 raw point. Each agent can get a max 10 raw points for their Faction per Phase.

Feels a bit daft to me that one agent scoring 1.5m MU is the equivalent of 5 agents scoring 1k Mu each. Should be more points for the higher values

    ....

The second 3rd phases are where it gets interesting.

Worldwide players can help assist their faction win by completing Agent Ops tasks.

Each one is worth 1 proportional point.

And that even if players work to achieve several of these, they still will not receive an Anomaly badge.

    🤦

  • MoogModularMoogModular ✭✭✭✭✭

The Connected Ops definitely should count for the anomaly badge. Especially when there's efforts to get almost to gold fielder (gold is at 2000) within one day.

  • It could be an event medal tied to the anomaly. Like Via Lux Adventure, Magnus Builder and EX05 Controller.

  • This should have been done like this:

Connected ops for all 3 phases, if you score x points each phase, you get medal.

  • GrogyanGrogyan ✭✭✭✭✭

Unfortunately no one really reads the forum outside the bug reports.

So if anyone feels that players contributing to the connected Ops Agent Ops tasks should be eligible for the Anomaly badge, do so via social media tagging Thia and Brian.

  • without a medal in ops no one will make an effort

As it has always been, Ingress enourages working as a team rather than being a lone wolf. Game mechanics of this in in the DNA of the game.

You personally may not and that is your choice. I know lots of agents from both factions have plans of having some fielding fun.

  • GrogyanGrogyan ✭✭✭✭✭

Fielding is fun, but not so much fun for central city urban players who do not have easy access to travel far to get to fielding anchors to make really big fields.

The levels of Agent Ops for the this anomaly, scale pretty well for most people.

And those that can go and make 1.5 mil MU fields can definitely do that if they want.

    Ctrl Connected Ops

    • M1 - Capture 1k MU
    • F1 - Create 1 Control Field
    • M2 - Capture 50k MU
    • F2 - Create 50 Control Fields
    • M3 - Capture 150k MU
    • F3 - Create 150 Control Fields
    • M4 - Capture 500k MU
    • F4 - Create 500 Control Fields
    • M5 - Capture 1.5mil MU
    • F5 - Create 1,500 Control Fields

are counted in sequence only (1-1 points up to the highest completed level) or one by one? Could anyone clarify this? @NianticOfficial

Start planning a recharge room, it’s how I got the echo medal. 26 hours of driving for keys and helped 10ish people get the medal.

but I hear your point and it’s one of the reasons I’ll be stepping away from the game after our local anomaly is over. If @NianticBrian thinks anomalies and machina is what it will take to bring new agents to the game and keep existing agents entertained, he’s woefully wrong. Three years of virtual FS, a 15 minute exercise called Second Sunday and a few random events sprinkled in isn’t enough for me. 2023 has been more low effort than ever, at least for anyone who doesn’t have thousands of dollars to fly all over the place to chase events/medals

What is an recharge room? :-D

  • ZeroHecksGivenZeroHecksGiven ✭✭✭✭✭

You acquire keys for a site within recharge distance. On the day of the anomaly, you recharge portals remotely to help boots on the ground. If you recharge five that have active beacons, you get the medal.

agree, they dont even do a global challenge now, could be on red where they infect everything but niantic dont think outside box sadly, q2 is a sleeping pill so far and i dont see how they increase the playerbase. Brian promised more events last year in japan december but so far seems it was not much worth

Another typical anomaly that does not solve anything and does not bring anything into the game? Nothing new. Boredom and a picture of a rolling tumbleweed.
