I had the same, when received the reply from support: "As long as you're abiding by the Ingress Terms of Service (https://www.nianticlabs.com/terms/) and the Ingress Community Guidelines (https://niantic.helpshift.com/a/ingress/?p=web&s=agent-protocol&f=ingress-community-guidelines), there should not be any reason for concern.
We encourage you to also review the Agent Protocol (https://niantic.helpshift.com/a/ingress/?p=web&s=agent-protocol&f=agent-protocol)."
Note that, this is problematic due to the link should give the guidelines. We won't receive details on the bans or appeals, or even reports to say so. But linking to a broken page and assuming this could help the player understand the rules and how/why they got penalties is being wrong, lol.
I hope you guys fix this asap.
Always love to point out that there are a TON of pages that are outdated:
Since I wrote that two years ago (holy cow) some additional things came up that need fixing. Like, does anyone remember what a Quantum Capsule is...? /s
They should have some sort of a review period where they review their Knowledge Base articles, as well as the website in general. I guess the team has shrunk even more, to where the basic house keeping stuff isn't done.
Hoping this will be fixed soon, one day.
Looking less likely. When’s the last time a Bug Report got a Niantic comment?
A month later.... my hope lives on.
From what I’ve heard (but cannot prove sadly) this was on the radar for all the pages being reviewed but then the cuts happened so who knows
