Cannot remote submit waypoints in Ingress due to map lag

When using the facility to remotely submit waypoints, pokemon go works fine. Unfortunately, Ingress no longer works because of the map.

When moving to the target location, the map slows down so much that it becomes impossible to zoom in or adjust location.

WiFi and data make no difference.
