Unable to do portal scan with Rakuten Hand5G

I am unable to perform a portal scan on my newly acquired smartphone, the Rakuten Hand 5G P780. When I try to scan, it says "Too dark. Ensure your camera is unobstructed and there is adequate lighting." even though the camera image is clearly displayed on the screen. I have done portal scan on other devices and am familiar with how to do it.

Ingress Prime version: 2.113.1-65c0569b

Google Play Services for AR has been installed.

  • I'm having this same problem. Tech support me to uninstall and then reinstall the app. I tried that and it did not fixed the problem.
