#WhatAGameDevLooksLike - Niantic & Ex-Niantic
A game dev at GDC a few years back was told they were in the wrong line three times due to the staff thinking they were a guest and not a speaker. They started the hashtag recently for #WhatAGameDevLooksLike.
Niantic has been sharing a few (mostly Pokémon GO so far) but thought I’d share this one for Ingress;
As well as a Niantic 3D Artist.
I’ll also add one ex-Niantic person who worked on Peridot.
If we were still getting an Ingress Spotlight email it would have been nice to see mention of this on there. If any of the Ingress team are lurking on the forums and want to share that would be great, and I’ll check later to see if any of them add to Twitter.
Similarly if you’re involved in the games industry in any way, please do share what you do!

I look at their faces and want to ask, where are the experienced programmers and designers who are over 50? Where are the people in the team who stood at the origins of game development and gave us masterpieces? Where are those people who have experience accumulated over decades, those who have a broad outlook based on the development of many projects? Why do I see one youth?
Look at the quality of translations in our game, look at how many bugs it has, look at the design that is not one monolithic concept, why do you think we have such a situation? Maybe Niantic need to take people more advanced and with experience and not ambitious young professionals?
I will note that things have generally gotten crappier since Joe Philley passed.

@ofer2 your turn!
Thanks for your usual pointless reply in a topic especially for a topic that has an opportunity for some insight.
#FUJoeCain would be the correct hashtag with your "Founders Union", right?
