Please note the following modifications to your Scanners that were implemented during the first quarter of 2023.
Dual-Core Medal
To mark two years since the launch of the Ingress C.O.R.E. subscription, a new medal was added to the Scanner in January. Agents who subscribe for 24 months will be recognized with the Dual-Core medal.
Change to AP Gained from Recharge
Soon, the amount of AP gained from recharge will be proportional to the amount of XM charged on a resonator.
New Kinetic Programs
On 15 February, the NIA uncovered new blueprints suitable for use with Visur Technology's Kinetic Capsules.

Are they saying there's hope to get more AP if you create/destroy bigger fields?
To me it reads like, if your L8 resonator has 5% left, you will get more AP for the recharge than if it were mostly filled.
My hope is this translates into Boost Charge being as effective, AP wise, as regular charging.
I hope that too.
And in the future, since proportional APs have been introduced, I can't find a reason why they shouldn't apply the same rule to fields

It may mean that Boost Recharge will give you more than 10AP if it sent more than 1000XM to the Portal.
I hope it doesn't mean that single recharge will give you a random amount of AP - that would have exact-number seekers tearing their hair out. :-)
By having a direct correlation between xm recharged and AP gain, it will become much easier to estimate what burster level your opponents are using, when defending portals
