Ingress p2w

Every day this game becomes more pay to win. It was not enough to create more sales medals compared to playable medals. They started selling viruses, adas in medal kits.

And now the item that made farming a little more interesting to obtain one through the RNG can be bought in the store.

Niantic wants to earn money at the expense of its gameplay. It's amazing how "Prime" ruins one more game mechanic with each update.

This is just a download post. It frustrates me to see the game sink lower and lower every day.

  • Sorry for bad english, i'm spanish

  • I am very disappointed about the substitution of Quantum capsules.

NIA should add more mechanics to the game, not removing them.

I hope they put fairly easy recipes for creating XMPs, I actually have some Quantum filled with them.

The reason behind this was about lag. I read some time ago the Agents using QC to duplicate keys were a important part of the game lag.

I guess if after removing the QC the lag is still there. or the real cause is running Ingress on budget servers.

  • As of today, with this change, there is no longer any item that cannot be obtained by paying for those that are obtained by hacking. It's a shame that they are prioritizing making money at the expense of the gameplay.

  • Very Rare Link Amps are not hackable and i dont see them on the store

  • That's why I clarified that the items that are HACKABLE can be bought. To comment on idiocies, it is better not to comment.

Everytime i hack kinetic capsule i throw them away, they are useless currently. Maybe it works with better recipes but currently they are just trash.

I wonder what happens with quantum capsules filled with stuff, i hope they do not delete items.

They want new players to use the kinetics, not throw stuff in quantums.. also its expensive calculation everytime it happens according to brian so it needs go to save costs and make it harder for all extra mule accounts

KC should have been in the store from the start in my opinion - we want the game to make enough money to stay alive, and they missed a revenue stream by introducing them as hackable items.

Not sure about the price point though. If they are proposing 2000CMU per Kcap, then it's quicker to buy 10xR8 for 1000CMU than to buy a Kcap for 2000CMU and make 8xR8 for 40xR4 and walking 8km. Also, you can buy 10xHypercube for 5000CMU and only make 5xHypercube for 10xPC4 and walking 8km. Admittedly you can use the Kcap three times, so maybe that balances out in the long run (it's marginal for resonators, somewhat better for Hypercubes - but then, Hypercubes is the only good KC program as Hosette said some time ago).

So yeah, p2w was already here given that Hypercubes, R8 and X8 were all already on the store. KCs at least require you to go out and do something (although in saying that I guess I've ignored the fact that there are phone-rockers on the market).

Honestly this none of those come anywhere close to this.

$1 for destroying 4 mods, deploying 4 mods, and up to as many bursters as you could hold against an anchor you couldn't beat rechargers on

    buy-able items are a thing since 2015.

from all the anomalies i attend, i still have more than 50 very rare load out cards that i still have from buying very rare anomaly pack.

    very rare load out :

    what's the difference ?

According to Nia's post, Quantum Capsules will be turned into regular (rare) capsules, without their content being removed. So you will keep the items, it just they'll stop duplicating.

I don't like the idea neither, duplicating keys are a thing for some strategies and I don't have much time to play for crafting items now that I have a job (plus i'm not interested on enabling adventure sync). Once again, this decision will only encourage spoofing...
