Avoid Making Another Monumentally Stupid Microtransaction-Driven Game Change Sure To **** Everyone Off Challenge [impossible]
I'm particularly amused that, rather than actually _do anything_ about backpacks, they further incentivize players to excess stash gear they can no longer reliably (if slowly) replicate on backpacks. The known income is gone; Final Fantasy Elixir Syndrome is going to kick in and item use will drop.
Similarly, I'm not sure how they expect players who can no longer rely on a trickle of rare gear to keep those kinetic capsules filled - usefulness is going to plummet.
That aside, the rural players get the shaft _once more_ and lose the last remaining non-store option for L7/L8 gear.
I'm really struggling to see how this made sense in any way, shape, or form.
Forces players to buy kinetic capsules and Level 8 XMPs since Niantic decided to retire QCs. It doesn't offer an incentive to take down fields because one has to pay to play, especially when one does not have access to farms and a reliable team. At least Kirby doesn't have this type of drama!
A background task which can batch queries for a specific item type and the items linked to it, run basic math, and issue batch updates isn't exactly database-destroying.
A terrible idea to eliminate the capsules in my case I use them to duplicate key and dispersers 8 the only thing that will do this is to make it even more difficult for the large op to be more difficult to get keys, and their transport and clean exchange between agents, with this the only thing that will encourage will be that they appear more fly by between the traffic of keys achieved with FAKE movements and not to mention the op that is They will arm pure flyer
If they changed Quantum capsules into needing X number of hacka per transaction and had kinetic capsules requiring x amount of movements they'd be keeping the game mobility challenged friendly, and rural player friendly.
They nerfed QCs VR replication in what, 2019? And added KCs in 2021. Not exactly "coincidental" timing. Nerfing QCs was to stop rampant abuse of backpacks for Aegis farms, and it was a valid change.
Just one more in a long series of bad decision on the part of Niantic. Kinetic Capsules suck. They require an inequitable amount of gear. Why in the world does Niantic keep making the game more frustrating and harder to play. It's like they dislike their customers.
Niantic stopped the replication of high level gear "in the name of bringing fairness to the game." That was a load of ****. They almost immediately started selling gear in the store. This is no different. Kinetic Capsules suck. They require an inequitable amount of gear to generate higher level gear. The same morons that touted the removal of Quantums "in the name of bringing fairness to the game" are screeching their catcalls and will again be duped. KC's make generating gear more difficult which Niantic sees as a means to an end, i.e., pushing folks to BUY more gear.
Strategically using QC's is part of my game play - and no, not backpacking. Getting close to time to delete this app.
I'd like to add, I think key duplication should be permantly removed, but if Niantic insist on having it, limit it to 1 key dupe program running at a time, limit 1 key created per program, a large key investment up front, (put in 10 keys, get 11 out for +1 keys) and also burn a VR mod.
This is a very bad mood. QC was an added feature to the game, yes the game existed without them, but their addition was a good thing. Especially now with the kinetic capsules since you could multiple rare items for the kinetic recipes.
There was a time the game had very few portals, no glyphs, no power cubes of any time and, yeah, we could play... But it's not like we would want all of that to be taken away just becuase "there was a time before they existed"... That's just very bad logic right there.
I understand wanting to stop the multi accounts from existing, but this doesn't do that. This will harm more honest players who don't spoof to get keys or lvl8 items than it will the cheaters who spoof and/or multiaccount.
Well, one request to Niantic, to counter the ugly real items coming from Pokémon GO (the device that makes your smartphone pendulum forever), is for players who have no constant AP increase without GPS movement, even if they are linked to Google Fit, etc. I would like to see the kinetic program not increase the distance.
At any rate, currently, if I spend a day riding a forklift in a warehouse at work, the program is complete.
Frankly, I can't say this is healthy.
I would expect the program to be completed with the right exercise.
It will be cool if we will have new item - KINETIC QUNTUM CAPSULE, which will be as typical Quantum with 95 items in it, but new item will be only then agent go 10 (+-) kilometres. If in capsule less when 95 items - it don't work. Also 1 agent may have only 7-10 KQ capsules, working together in the same time. That are you think about it?
Back around the time they nerved VR duplication, they also doubled the price of frackers. "Nerfing QCs" stated excuse was to "stop rampant abuse of backpacks"; the store was totally coincidental, bro. It was as believable then as it is now.
If a batchable, low-priority background job is somehow responsible for lag in a dying game with a fraction of its previous player-counts despite that job having existed for nearly a decade, we have... other problems.
Lag in the game has been a major problem for as long as I can remember.
A lot of time has been spent on it.
To the extent that, the belief that the lag was due to the spaghetti code of the old server and client. And with the migration to that, should have improved it. It did, marginally, but created more problems.
I'm cool with retiring QC so long as I can duplicate keys I want. It'd be great if I wouldn't need to keep so many keys and I could just selectively walk them when I need them. I might actually have space to play, instead of 2700 OPs keys taking most of my space.
Medias a tricky one, if we can't get a media recipe... Invest in toast stocks.
I'm not convinced a lot of time has been spent on it.
The almost complete stagnation of Ingress development from the point Niantic was spun off of Google would imply the resources that actually cared about Ingress didn't come with.
Since 2015, we've had... what? The store and the beginning of its myriad cash grabs, e.g. Frackers and Key Lockers? The Lawson cubes that became hypercubes?
As far as new functionality goes, we've had... what, basic API access with CORE, relatively recently? The currently-pointless "machina" blocker generation using some background generation like the thing whose processing cost they're complaining about? It's hard to think of anything beyond the utter tire fire that is Prime and its mysteriously-multi-year basic chat bugs and usability issues.

I want my QUANTUM now!

I have much doubt about "computational issues".
A background task which can batch queries for a specific item type and the items linked to it, run basic math, and issue batch updates isn't exactly database-destroying.
You're under the delusion they'd actually implement any sort of usable feedback.
Were you not around for the summarily-ignored feedback during the first couple iterations of the store?

Gracias Ingress por cagarla nuevamente

Thanks Ingress for it again
While also walking 8km

Wow, what a terrible idea. Do Niantic employees sit around and try to come up with ways to chase off Ingress players?
You already nerfed qcaps several times and now you just need to remove them. Really??
I don't think this will end the way you think it will.. or maybe shutting down the Ingress servers IS the end game..
Fast forward 6 months:
Sorry, you have to buy all new NFT Blockchain Capsules to replace your old ones.
Just like last time, there's a totally coincidental subpar alternative in the store.
At least this time they're not pretending it's just coincidental.
It's almost like we did all of these things before Quantum Capsules, but people can't conceive of a world that existed before QCs...
They nerfed QCs VR replication in what, 2019? And added KCs in 2021. Not exactly "coincidental" timing. Nerfing QCs was to stop rampant abuse of backpacks for Aegis farms, and it was a valid change.
Wishlist for recipes for KC:
Portal keys duplication
Media duplication
Lower tier mods creation (Eg. 10 VR mods to 20 C mods for engineer)
XMP creation (Eg. 40 Xmp level 4 and above for 4 XMP level 8)
Just one more in a long series of bad decision on the part of Niantic. Kinetic Capsules suck. They require an inequitable amount of gear. Why in the world does Niantic keep making the game more frustrating and harder to play. It's like they dislike their customers.

I know, weird ain't it

So, I have more than 50 Quantum Capsules in my scanner!!!
And that means, I'll get more than 50 Kinect Capsules and more 100 Kinect Capsules?
And now, they were actually turned Quantum Capsules into Kinect Capsules on my scanner?
I love it!!!🥰🥰🥰 BRING IT ON!!!
I would love a program like this.
2000RLA+6881km=1VRLA
You're the agent to try this, right?
Well, one request to Niantic, to counter the ugly real items coming from Pokémon GO (the device that makes your smartphone pendulum forever), is for players who have no constant AP increase without GPS movement, even if they are linked to Google Fit, etc. I would like to see the kinetic program not increase the distance.

Much like the arguments for other items.
There are new mechanisms being worked on, including a task system.
Not inconceivable that a task could mean, Complete 50 Ultra Link Amp Kinetic Capsules, rewarding 1 VRLA
Other tasks are plausible, to aid you to play Ingress more effectively.
It will be cool if we will have new item - KINETIC QUNTUM CAPSULE, which will be as typical Quantum with 95 items in it, but new item will be only then agent go 10 (+-) kilometres. Short memory, eh? It's fine; Reddit remembers: https://www.reddit.com/r/Ingress/comments/cqr5ci/niantic_has_decided_to_double_the_price_of_all/ Heck, that wasn't even the first nerf: https://www.reddit.com/r/Ingress/comments/477xt8/mufg_interest_rates_may_be_tied_to_item_rarity_now/
Back around the time they nerved VR duplication, they also doubled the price of frackers. "Nerfing QCs" stated excuse was to "stop rampant abuse of backpacks"; the store was totally coincidental, bro. It was as believable then as it is now.
Then they should be released before retiring the thing they replace.
I do not know what @NianticBrian's logic is on this.
But it MAY, be part of the thinking of how to reduce lag in the game. Which is a major pain point. However, I just don't know.
If a batchable, low-priority background job is somehow responsible for lag in a dying game with a fraction of its previous player-counts despite that job having existed for nearly a decade, we have... other problems.
I want new programs for kinetic capsule to “cook” vr mods (vrs, vrhs, vrmh) to 3 same type common mods

We've had [10-year-old feature requests lists](https://www.reddit.com/r/Ingress/comments/1f6nap/ingress_feature_wishlist/) they could have drawn from at any point.
We've had [3-year-old examples](https://www.reddit.com/r/Ingress/comments/d06c41/called_it_impossible_event_designed_to_make_moy/) of similar cashgrabs and negative feedback, also ignored.
We've had [3-year-old feedback requests for earning back those store ratings](https://www.reddit.com/r/Ingress/comments/et5gij/recent_niantic_survey_asked_what_could_we_do_to/) that were similarly largely ignored.
And with all of this... still no real content.
I dunno, man, I have a hard time believing they've spent a lot of time on anything.
