There aren't any legitimate auto-hackers for Pokemon Go either. The only legit devices that I'm aware of are the Pokemon Go Plus and the Pokeball Plus, both of which require you to interact with them manually. I've never heard of anyone being banned for using something like a Gotcha but Niantic definitely doesn't bless them. Personally I have a hard time imagining what I would use an auto-hack device for except maybe for racking up uniques while traveling or something... and even then I'd be spending most of my time recycling gear.
@IPHacker There is no such device. Given the differences between the two games, I'm not sure that something like a PoGo Plus that lets you hack without looking at your phone would make a lot of sense... in the 9+ years that I've been playing I've never found myself wishing for one.
A device not officially authorized by Niantic would certainly violate the TOS. One of the big differences between the two games is that Ingress is much stricter about TOS violations like multi-accounting, spoofing, and other forms of cheating.
Alright, their is no such device, I understood that now.
I dont care about the difference between those 2 games, I just asked if their was an auto hack/spin/collect option either inside Ingress or as a device like we had in PG.
If you never wish for one after 9 years, I still dont care.
If it is against the rules or a vialation, I still dont care & I bet 100 % that my suggestion wont get through.
I just asked this "We dont have any auto hack or auto hack device for Ingress Prime?".
Since their isnt any, I am just making a suggestion to Niantic if they can make one inside the Ingress Prime app which can auto hack/spin/collect when walking right next to a portal.
That's not 100% true. The ball spins stops automatically if it has a pokemon in it (might also do normally, don't use it much, girlfriend uses it and said thays how it works)
The discussions around auto Hacking while on the move, were moot and actively discouraged bad actors and bots from farming gear. This decision went back to 2013.
We already have problems with bad actors, WHICH, do WAY MORE damage to our game than any other product, due to the nature that Ingress is a strategy game.
moust agent I know, only glyphhack. I havent singlehacked since I was lvl9. Oh it has happend by misstake or in a new city. But singlehacking is such a waste. Its like carry water from the well using a bucket with 7 wholes in the bottom.
Meh, if I’m rolling through a res stronghold that is all L8 portals, I’ll tap hack. Imagine being a passenger in a car that’s driving through 50 L8 portals and you can just quickly hack them, wait a few minutes, turn around and drive back through. Lots of gear, no glyphs needed.
I am a long term Ingress player and I would love an auto hack feature.
Many old timers get really fussed about spoofing and other forms of cheating and see any enhancement to the game to be a opportunity to have cheaters cheat. Cheating sucks. Yet I'm keen for an auto hack feature. Lots of times I am moving but can't spend time looking at my phone.
In Catan World Explorers we had a little bird that would be able to be purchased that would fly around collecting items on our behalf. I loved using the feature!
... So count me down for an auto collection function in Ingress.
Suggesting anything new to add to this game will bring out the disagrees. OG players want the game to exist as it did 5+ years ago. Except, mobile games have changed in that time, the world has changed, there are FAR less people playing this game. Some areas have NO agents, some areas are still thriving.
I'm sure it's a tough balance for Niantic to walk, but if Ingress doesn't continue to evolve, it will not last. With how easy it is to hack, I don't think I'd be super interested in an auto-hack device. Though, if Niantic did incorporate a way to use something like the PoGo Plus device, I might use it here and there, especially times when I'm with family/friends and would prefer to engage with them vs burying my face in my phone.
which I don’t think ever saw the light of day which would have allowed for a few quick actions. Maybe not auto-hack but quicker hack than opening the phone up.
The issue was Google did the Wear OS app and it was never updated since then.
This is the same Google that now released a Pixel Watch after 8 years of having no official Google WearOS device. The issue really has been if development is worth it.

We don't.

Yeah.
We have this Auto Spin from PG Go device, but what you are saying that their isnt any device which can Auto spin/hack when walking next to a portal?
Please follow the player guidelines.
What is wrong with my suggestion?

That´s all.
They won’t. Watch apps aren’t in the pipeline either. You can tap and hold portals to quickly hack/key hack, and that’s sufficient.
I believe you that they wont.
The pokeball can auto spin stops, no interaction needed, the badge needs to press a button.
i have both, great devices for pogo, was sad too that ingress dont have such an cool device. Maybe two with the resi and enl logo would be nice.

Ingress is not Pokemon Go!

May I ask you how a device would be able to glyphhack portals, with your own level in glyphing?
Ingress is not the same game as pokemon. But a powerbank with enl/res logo would be something 😆
I never said glyph hack. :)

Bring back the andriod wear client... or better yet the unreleased nexus band...
You can have a Niantic logo one.

I dont consider auto collect as cheating, you still need to walk to the portal to collect.
The most important thing about this Auto Collect is not how many items you get, but it saves peoples neck, many people has neck problems.
I never said you were a cheater, you're getting folks mixed up.
I'm more or less supporting you, indirectly I suppose...
Sorry my mistake, I clicked on the wrong one.
There was this;
which I don’t think ever saw the light of day which would have allowed for a few quick actions. Maybe not auto-hack but quicker hack than opening the phone up.
Yip sadly scrapped before launch, I belive the pending change of codebase caused issues....
There was also a wearos client, that alerted to portals and allowed hacking of portals in range....
nice one, their could be a lot of walking with that kind of a device. It looks great.
The issue was Google did the Wear OS app and it was never updated since then.
