Why is it that there are still no rewards for the top 3 players of each cell.

I think giving a reward or badge for being in the top 3 will encourage agents to go out and make more fields

    The scoring system really needs to be updated. It hasn't changed in years. An AP scoreboard would be awesome.

    The scoreboard does need a revamp, giving out rewards for different categories.

  • I think the scoring system in Football (soccer for the Americans) is also outdated and needs a revamp.

    Games should not be decided by how many times the ball goes in the net. The number of corners and the distance run should count too. What about the number of saves from the goal keeper? He finds it difficult to score and should also be rewarded.

    All the happens is whoever is on top is the answer to how often has someone taken your anchor down.

    cell score should be based on more then just create MU within cells not everyone are into that.

  • "Bad Actor" Is more profitable in playing. The last time, before niantic make new system with fast track report we having many problem with bad actor with spoofing kamikaze id.

    The Scenario always same with spoofing id destroy block link and make link. And finally prime id make a biggest field. Always like that, when asked always say "don't know" But the timing always same, always from the same achor and same a model field.

    Even though we don't see again any similiar behaviour. The prime id is still alive.

    because those on top are those doing the less .

    doing the final link is easy, going everywhere to clean is harder but grant nothing.

    + you can easily reach top 3 by using virus / vrBB


    the top 3 is just a joke that doesn't mean anything.



    there should be a cell/ worldwide leaderbaord for every stats. that would be funnier to play.

    Sorry mostly disagree :p. I end up on the top3 and i design, clean, farm, field myself. Agree on VR BB part. On OP's the whole OP team should be credited indeed.

    If it were just AP, then it is is easy to get, any day in a major city center.

  • Top MU agents often arent even those whose fields contributed most to the faction score - because this agent scoreboard counts MU once the field is created, but not track if and for how many checkpoints the field stands. This leads to the ridiculous gameplays like taking down your faction's fields just to make your own (often worth less MU) to 'score' the top3. Not even required for those fields to stand for one CP.

    For example - I made large fields over the city almost a month ago and those are still up, standing for several cp's and septicycles, but it only counted once in the individual scoreboard, month ago.

    It's like that for so many years that I assume nobody even care ;)

    This lack of connection between faction score and the individual scoreboard was always a thing that made learning/explaining how playing for faction score works difficult.

    This is why cell scores should track activity not just a couple of fields made months ago and still standing.... its time after 10 years to change this to more dynamic count so even casual players get the feeling even they can contribute even if not making big fields

    Only new fields in a cycle should count for the score. Stagnant fields that never get taken down shouldn't count. Carrying points over from a previous cycle has never made any sense. I think it's why so many don't even care about the scoreboard. It needs to be updated.

    Was briefly shown in a mistake for one of the connected cell events bugging into all cells. It was hot trash.

    My wish list:

    • Score the septicycle based on the difference between the end of the last cycle and the end of the current cycle. If purple was up by 10K at the end of the last cycle and is only up by 7K at the end of the current cycle then orange wins.
    • Create a leaderboard for MU destroyed that parallels MU created. Only opposite-faction MU would count.
    • Give some sort of reward for the top three agents in both categories at the end of each septicycle. Maybe one "MU champion" point and a faction firework, or something like that. And sure, an MU champion badge would be good too.

    This would eliminate, or at least seriously reduce the effects of standing or repetitive fields. It would also mean that cells where one faction dominates would become competitive again as long as there is at least one agent playing. A destruction leaderboard would reward both parts of the effort to control the cell score, not just the creation side.

    The problems I see with this proposal: It would reward people who repetitively throw and destroy the same fields by inflating their MU created. It would mean that a faction that won a cycle by throwing a BAF would very likely lose the next cycle.
