Ive largely been off-topic in this thread. I’m not interested in an inventory bump at all, I just said I’d rather have the ability to charge from a locker versus getting another inventory bump. I don’t have any issues at the current 2500 number, just think it would be convenient to not move a bunch of keys around to charge them. Charging from lockers could potentially reduce other folks desire for a bump to 3000 though 🤷🏼♂️
I think there is a difference between complexity and efficiency. I don’t have any interest in sitting in my car on the side of the road moving keys around for 30 minutes. The only two arguments I’ve really seen for it are a technical one that doesn’t quite make sense to me and a “you should manage your inventory better” argument.
Don't have to tell me 🙈 Redemeed the 1331 turrets as non core player (without stacking at other players). deployed all turrets , i only recycled maybe 30ish keys to make space and kept my sojourner / epoch going. One of the most difficultiest thing i've done in ingress
Inventory management might mean having enough space to have all keys that you want to interact with in your inventory and not in capsules.
Keys in key lockers don't count towards inventory, and the price you pay for that convenience is that they can't be used in any way except by taking them back out of the locker.
Besides, there's no UI on the key locker screen that would enable recharging the keys, and I'm not sure how one could be added. It would be a lot of work for the dev team, for sure.
There is no UI for it because it doesn't exist, just like anything else they've added. And no idea how much dev work it would take. The mechanics are all there elsewhere in the game, to me, doesn't seem like it would really be that difficult to add.
Enjoy my quick concept image with a charge button added into the lower right. Not the most ideal location because it isn't completely intuitive, but I'm not a designer either...
i could stretch to 3135 possible, counting 5 hypercubes in the kinetics. Maybe even higher if making resos makes even more items to be stored inside the kinetics.
Maybe to solve OPs issue, they should remove all the items added to game in say the last 8 years, and not have paid items stuck in inventory until used etc....
I'd settle for a one click tag option for keys currently in a capsule/locker couple with a way to load all tagged keys back into it.
Currently if i have keys carefully separated into more than 1 but i want to recharge keys from more than one at once, I either have to do one capsule at a time or spend the time resorting when i'm done. If my ~600 lockered keys are all tagged for the locker they live in then i can dump them all into inventory and load them all back up with very little effort.

more inventory doesnt solve anything when we have lag that still isnt fixed..

3600 inventory.
We have? 🤯
i could stretch to 3135 possible, counting 5 hypercubes in the kinetics. Maybe even higher if making resos makes even more items to be stored inside the kinetics.
2,000 base
500 with CORE
600 with up to 6 key lockers
40 R1s in 8 Kinetics 320
That's still only 3,420
He answered your question what OP actually wants: 3600 (= 500 more than now)
a) Core and Kinetics aren't part of the request.
b) 600 in key lockers.
c) Request is for 3000 base.
Not sure what the OP is actually asking
To have 3000 base slots and pay nothing for it.
Considering the fact that we've asked for more inventory space, and we're willing to pay for it.
Core and Key Capsules
Then the OP hasn't factored in that Ingress is a strategy game, and a limited storage, and managing it well is also part of the game.
Maybe to solve OPs issue, they should remove all the items added to game in say the last 8 years, and not have paid items stuck in inventory until used etc....
