Mission 17 of 18 rejected

I have a banner - "Best Small Town ___ of 18". Each set of two missions are the same portals, the first time you capture/upgrade. Then you go back through and hack the same portals. All but one of the missions have been accepted. #17 is getting rejected. I've attached screen shots of both 17 and 18, showing them using the same description and same portals. Any suggestions? We've already missed one 2nd Sunday because this mission wasn't approved (and I missed the fact that it didn't get approved with the other 17) and we'd like to finish this banner before we have to do another one and then start this one all over again.

Some guesses, because that's all it is at this point in my opinion and you certainly won't get any help from Niantic on this.

    1) 17 has a single letter. A chance this could be causing the hiccup. Single letter missions aren't really allowed anymore, allegedly... Maybe try to edit the graphic to have another letter, even if it doesn't make sense, just to see if it'll go through.

    2) If they're supposed to be done in a certain order, uncheck that box and allow any order or vice versa.

    3) Have someone else submit that mission and see if they have better luck.

I've been trying for three years to get a banner accepted. I no longer understand what they want. Niantic is of no help.

  • There are two mission rejection emails.

    1) Invalid text or image. (a) You're using copyrighted wording. Google phrases you use. Ask someone 20 years older and/or younger than you, if anything in there seems famiiar from a TV show or song or something. OR, (b) maybe the photo is third party or something.

    2) Content. Mission reviewers look at each mission as standalone. Sometimes they don't think the picture goes with the description. If you got this email, change your wording to something really basic, like "Hack these portals to earn this badge". Preferable, see if you can tie those portals together with a theme. "Hack these works of art" or "Tour the west end of Park Something" or "Visit the hot spots along Main Street".
