[Feature request] Quick shortcut in carousell

Will be nice if we are able to have slots to set shortcuts for us to go through the carousel interface for attacking/deployment.
Below is a sample of how the quick shortcut can be done:
When the agent presses on the shortcut, the carousel will immediately jump to the item mapped on the shortcut, allowing quick access to the requested inventory.

The cube element of the Attack carousel should be removed completely, given that we have a shortcut already.
It's just an example of a possible mapping which agents can do. It's not restrictive of the example icons I used for illustration purpose.
(you can map to level 8 xmp, level 8 US, ADA refector for example)
Think of those MMORPG where you assign your skills on a certain key button for example for your playstyle and preference.
If they drop the cubes, for the most part I'll only have 6 items on the attack carousel making shortcuts pointless.
Problem is that many players such as myself, play ingress with just one-handed.
And we already have a big problem with the current tiny buttons.
Last thing I'd want is to bring up the wrong item when I am in the heat of battle during an Anomaly or hexathlon
I feel like something could be improved upon that as it was a feature Niantic loved to showcase before Prime's launch.
Then again, the long press at the bottom middle and glide shortcut is barely advertised:
Prime's early interface was a "We need to put every Classic thing in" and "Look at this new interface" without really assessing whether some things were needed. There's definitely a lot of "You have to work it out for yourself" and unintuitive elements to it.
The cubes were added to the attack menu because cubing while attacking was hard in Classic. It's definitely not the case any more, and the cubes on the attack carousel are more of an annoying acidental finger slip than a worthwhile element, given we have the cube menu available.
i found it was better in Scanner redacted. where u could just longpress anywhere on ur screen to perform an action.
Honestly I prefer the lack of need to long press. Just swiping up from the bottom of the screen without pausing opens the attack menu far faster in Prime.
