Unique Capture not registering

I've noticed this behaviour when the scanner starts going slow and the only way to get it to work is a restart. The last capture appears to not register the unique cap.
Example here is from Saturday morning (25/09) at about 10:35am when I captured portal "Know Your Place" in Blacktown, NSW https://intel.ingress.com/?ll=-33.772716,150.909166&z=18&pll=-33.772716,150.909166
The images attached show I own it, I captured it, but it has not registered as a unique capture. I had to restart due to a very slow scanner just after I capped it.

Similar issue with the scanner filter.
A captured portal doesn't display as captured in the scanner. Does show a purple ring as a visited portal in scanner.

Intel map records the same portal as captured:
