Correct, I do everything I can to reduce emissions. I will not apologize for being a proud Californian ombudsman for the earth. If we don't speak up for they/them, who will?
Which brings me to my next point - why is Niantic implementing such harmful policies detrimental to personal health, environmental , and gaming without responding to community concern?
Maybe @NianticBrian should respond on his own forums rather than hiding behind Japanese Twitter posts...
You're using a device made from materials obtained unethically, and which contribute to polluting the environment. If you truly cared, you would no longer buy anything, live in the forest in a mud hut and be fully self sustaining.
You putting on an act, have you considered not being a fake environmentalist?
The very fact you are playing a game that runs off large server farms and involves driving around.... (Not to mention flying to anomaly events etc)
Personally I pay cold hard cash every month to offset my emissions.
Niantic don't care too much for the environment - I've messaged on the forums asking about assisting/details on CO2 footprint items and been roundly ignored.
I think if there's one thing I've learned from this comment, it's that mentioning being in MENSA has a deleterious effect on the tone of the comment, it just seems patronising. As for the cool down rate, I'm happy that it is changing, it makes the game more challenging - like it used to be. A band apart from Pogo as it should be. Having to work for your achievements is much more rewarding than having things handed to you on a plate.
Challenging to safely play the game. I guess other agents will have to find resourceful ways to adapt and the bot, multi-accounters, and spoofing network will thrive after this change. FYI, I enjoy walking without playing this game because it helps me enjoy the present and meet other people IRL. Besides, I decide how and when I want to play :)
I can't believe OP was actually right, I just heard on the news there are global food shortages, and it happened just as Niantic implemented the change!
Paying money to a company for supposed carbon footprint costs sounds like a fishy thing altogether. Can you even verify they have done anything to reduce carbon footprint?

To be fair, we are all getting ignored on the forums... :) If you want a response, ticket at support, or Twitter haha!

I think it's great they've set the cooldown back to its original value.
The reduced cooldown benefits experienced and active players more than new or casual players.

The world is ending! 😲
Maybe this is hope that they'll return to the original game mechanics and disable under-field linking.
Have you protested the anomaly? Have people coming from plane.
