The Argument For Single Agent P6's

As someone who has personally benefitted from double R7's and is worse off when the change gets reverted, I honestly think the game will be better for it.

But a less recognized aspect of this change is the ability for an agent to make a P6 solo, which I believe had a much more beneficial effect on the game. Lettings agents make a solo P6, without letting them make a duo P7 will help soften the blow when the change is reverted.

Now conveniently this can be achieved by allowing triple R5 & R6.

87666555 = 6

And it doesn't allow a duo to make a P7. One of the other benefits is no longer needing to keep R4's in ones inventory, inventory management is one of the more tedious tasks (even with bulk recycle) so being able to just nuke all of them would be very welcome.

This also would give the opportunity to extend the enjoyment every agent gets during the 1-8 phase of deploying a new resonator level.

My suggestion would be to allow a third R5 when reaching L12, and a third R6 for L16. Recursing would also allow agents to keep this benefit when levelling again, so triple R5 on reaching L5, and triple R6 on reaching L6.

  • Yes lack of R8 hacking is a serious problem. I have gone from building strongest portals I can to just building whatever **** I can hack now.

    I agree 100%, having useless gear is poor design imo.

    If your first 3 shots at an enemy portal are low level (L1-L3), the enemy portal will set its fightback zap lower.

    A lower-level agent's energy bar is smaller - they can't take a very big hit, and keep playing. So portals don't hit back as hard, at lower level agents.

    If you can keep yourself from recycling all your L1 bursters, you can try this.

    Interesting, not exactly super useful with quantums (might be good for lower level agents), and keeping low level xmps seems wasteful when i could have X8s.
