I'm curious what playing in a community is like where not only are there enough people to scan that much, but to also find battling for "nothing" so intriguing.
Curious if these will somehow come into part of the scoring metric. That would be a stretch. Obviously the only way to get them is to scan or buy. It's obvious the Japanese are down for free labor, dang
I agree with you on the “brain involvement” part. Dark XM at least made me plan on how many links of a certain length I needed to make. There were some decision making involved.
On a side note, although Niantic knows clearly that half of my scans are of my living room and the others are of sidewalks (yo where my disagree spamming bois at), they’re still going to brag about the number to investors n developers. So they probably don’t care about the scan qualities either
Edit: Wish Niantic would render and immortalize my fondest memories nicely lol, since we’ll be moving in two months. Quite a cyberpunk way to preserve an old home.
