"Kinetic Capsule ready" message shown but cannot claim because Capsule shows "7.4 /8km"

  1. Activity log shows: "Your 8 km Kinetic Capsule is now ready"
  2. Go to Kinetic Capsule
  3. Kinetic Capsule shows "7.4 /8km" and therefore cannot claim.
  4. Restart Ingress
  5. Kinetic Capsule show now correctly "8/8km" and claim was ok.

    Had same issue and others report it as well.

  • Same issue has happened already 4 or 5 times. Need to restart before kinetic will update the distance walked.

    I have had the same thing happen to me. I have also heard of similar bugs from other agents around me.

    There seems to be a fundamental synchronization delay problem.

    yeah it’s a trend. Notifications same thing, unfortunately.

  • I've been having this since 2.92 as well. Get a notification in the phone, open the app, see an Alert for the capsule, have to walk 400m more before it ticks over.

  • I have the same issue for the past 2 months. I get a scanner notification that my kinetic capsule is ready. However when I take the time to check it is exactly 0.2 km short of being ready. Very annoying.

  • Repeatedly happens. Notification says one thing, message in chat "space" says the same thing, capsule says no.

    Restart scanner works.

    Only slightly tedious.
