I can't imagine reviewing using an app on a tiny little mobile phone screen... I tried it once and it just seemed impossible to make a good decision on a lot of stuff. When I review I often wind up with multiple windows open on a big monitor so that I can compare photos and maps, search for information about the candidate, and cross-check random stuff.
A separate mobile app is an additional option along with using the desktop.
I think it makes sense as Wayfarer is really a separate focus altogether with Niantic. It's a POI database that is game agnostic. I don't know if this means submitting Waypoints would eventually be through the separate app. I can see this being a positive as development is unified and doesn't have to be staggered across the Niantic games. Wayfarer team can specifically state how the wayspots are used in the Niantic games from one location.
I only give 1 star for flat out abuse at this point. As it's been stated in the past, 1 star gets auto reviewed while 2-5 stay in the queue. Anything that fits the criteria is a 3 from the start, the historical question really can be generic at times, and anything that is unique is an auto 5.

But, why?
I would assume its also for reviewing, checking g the map and maybe submitting?
Why not, it's the beginning of great things...
Unless the 20m rule will change i dont see why we need it.

yeah its a pain on mobile.
Me either, and that's probably why reviewing isn't In the brief for first draft 🤔
A native app will make it a much better experience + it caters to a large part of the market who only have a mobile device.

I always do it on mobile lol, still manage it relatively well, but then it's been a wylhile since I've had to review anything g difficult
For real, it seems like it’s clearly a 1* or clearly a 5* for the most part. Granted, I’ve probably done 50 reviews in 2022 so far…
