Personally, I think a good idea would be to combine the change to Agent Ops on the second Sunday with the limited medals that precede it.
It's like an Ingress version of PoGo Community Day, but I think it would be good to have such an event every month to stimulate events other than Anomaly and Mission Day.
Apart from that, it would be nice to have an event once a quarter or so that competes for a specific value during a set period of time.
To give an example, the VIA LUX Adventures were held in August and September 2016, where agents competed for the value of their UPVs.
The event was successful because the thresholds for elite and participation medals were not finalized until the end of the event, so agents competed for UPV until the last day of the event.
It was also a generally challenging event for agents with high activity levels, as they were measured against their own UPV.
And since many agents went to new locations for this event, it was a good event in line with the Ingress mission.
Subsequent similar events had the disadvantage that the value of the elite medal was fixed, which resulted in a drop in agent activity after the achievement.
We believe that a good combination of the two could improve the profitability of Ingress.
