Social chat locks up/freezes the game when exiting

I had this happend a few times now i consider this a bug, it happens when exit from a chat back to the game you get a spinning circle above Niantic chat icon and nothing happens game is frozen, only that works is restart which is very annoying since it happens almost everytime now.
Ingress version: 2.91.1
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S10+ Android 11.

I dont know if its related, but loading times for chats has become reaaaaaaly slow to, to the point of sometimes freezing game to the point of only possible solution is restart.
