Portal photos on the disambiguation screen display in incorrect aspect ratios
Background: When you tap on portals which are close together on the map, a disambiguation menu appear which shows the name of the portals and a preview image.
Issue: If the portal photo is anything other than a square (1:1 ratio), then the image shown on the disambiguation menu will be vertically or horizontally stretched to turn the photo into a square (as opposed to cropping it, which is how this is managed in other parts of the game). This causes the preview image to incorrect appear wide or skinny.
Example #1:
Portal photo which is taller than it is wide:
Appearance on the disambiguation screen (photo is squished vertically):
How the photo should appear (cropped to make a square shape):
Example of where this is done correctly already in the game:
Example #2:
Portal photo which is wider than it is tall:
Appearance on the disambiguation screen (photo is squished horizontally):
How the photo should appear (cropped to make a square shape):
Example of where this is done correctly already in the game:
Note: This occurs with ALL photos that are not 1:1 aspect ratio, however the effect is more noticeable the greater the width (landscape) or height (portrait) of the photo.
Requested fix: Change the image on disambiguation screen to be a square crop rather than making it a square by only resizing height and width.
Device/Version info: iOS, iPhone Pro 13, Ingress v 2.89.1.
