40,000 Ap faction change doesn't pop up

As I finally reached 40,000 AP I didn't get any information or pop up whatsoever about the faction change even though I'm a new player and I just reached this new height I kept trying and trying looking through settings and everything and nothing. This seems like a problem than a bug so I decided to report it anyway

Why would anyone want to change faction....
There is. If you reach 40.000 AP as a completely new player, you have the one time opportunity to change your faction without any disadvantages, keeping your items, medals, AP etc. This is if you feel like that the faction you choose isn't the right fit for you, or if it's overwhelming/overrun in the area.
Try contacting support.ingress.com. It's a bug that the option didn't came up, but to change it retroactively, you'll need to reach out to support.
