Understand the reason for the refusal
in General
I have been fighting for several months on a fresco.. for a single mission that does not pass... and the return email gives a reason that I do not understand in relation to the image of the proposed mission..
it remains a real mystery
the fresco already online
the refusal email.. finally the last one
The image of the mission that is denied
I'm still looking for identifiable information in there...

The banner as a whole definitely has an identifiable person or face.
The missions are evaluated individually.. and we are talking about a drawing of a fictional character...
not to mention frescoes with perfectly recognizable faces, and more real people.. there are like this one online in Jarkata
@Adamcorsica , the image for the mission banner seems to promote female objectification which is probably another reason why it was denied.
Make a mission with the same portals in it, with a different name and mission image. When it gets accepted, submit changes for the name, image and description.
Does the over all image have any relation to ingress or to the area the game is being played?
are we talking about the portrait of an imaginary female character?
except that if the modifications are never accepted the fresco will never be complete
because it will be an obligation..? there are many frescoes that ultimately have no relation to Ingress or the place where the fresco is located.. just for the pleasure of offering a beautiful image
You said you have been "fighting for several months", so are you going to keep doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results, or try something different?
Does that exist in this spot as a graffiti mural or is it just some macaroni art project you want on your profile for vanity reasons?
The female portrait speaks for itself. It states, female objectification.
he will never be on my profile... since he is at the other end of the country... a place where there is extremely little chance of me going there
I'm done with the missions forever. I usually see banners where there are real photos of people and their faces. But here it's just checked by someone who is lazy, marks everything in bulk and rejects for a random, and stupid, reason.
For example: I downloaded a banner from bannergress, and used it (it's already at least 20 times on the web), and the reason was anyway:
@NianticBrian @NianticThia Aren't you happy that people are putting content into your game ...? No, you just want to make people angry so everyone doesn't stop playing.... It is clear to me that there will be no answer ..
I don't think they are purposely trying to make people angry, but it's clear they've put missions and/or support further down the priority list than most things. And to kinda make things even less fun, they've somewhat ignored our pleas for help. Niantics communication at it's finest. Ignore them until we don't....
I do find it intriguing Thia mentioned missions in her welcome post, but I don't believe has come back around to them since.
- Things that I’m eager to investigate once I’m settled (in no particular order and this is NOT what’s been given to me by NIA, it is a select few of my own personal interests to talk to the team about and is not a promise of anything):
Missions/Banners: What is the status of the authoring tool? How does the approval process work?
I've been struggling with a banner lately. I got the first 5 of 6 approved (planned to do six missions at a time). But 05/42 was rejected. Description and title were the same across all six, as most banners are. Images were slightly different. The first rejection gave me reasons of:
I thought, well, maybe referencing the city is too broad. Even though the other 5 had no issues. So I created a new mission, updated the title and description to reference the park this mission was taking place in and sent it in, a week later, I got the same rejection reasons.
It's hard to want to struggle with this so much when time after time, these rejections just don't add up. The two images show 04 of 42 and 05 of 42. 04 was approved, 05 has now been rejected twice. The images are quite similar, the wording was more or less the same until I changed, as mentioned above.
When you don't have clear information in the opt-out emails, things get stressed.
I have already created some banners and the tips I can give you are:
I cannot guarantee that the mission will pass if you follow these tips. But most of the people I helped with these tips got approval. Good luck!
