Mission sorting really needs to be improved in Prime...
I love missions, but I am not a hard ore mission mosaic person. I prefer to do simple single souvenir missions, mostly because when I do want to do missions, I play on the down low while doing tourist stuff with my family. I can't drag them back and forth in circles to do mission series. This week I played in Washington DC and wanted to do as many missions as possible at all the buildings and monuments we visited. The problem is there is such a ridiculous and overwhelming amount of mission series I could not find single missions easily. Sometimes I found them too late to do them. Sometimes Prime wouldn't load enough missions for me to find them. A lot of times I had to load Redacted just to find the nearby missions I wanted to complete and I really don't like playing on Redacted. Please look into fixing mission sorting. Sorting alphabetically, by nearest, or even being able search for keywords will be ideal.

It's a problem that also affects the redacred version if I'm not mistaken. However, a small space would be enough for a search that filters missions according to the user's input. It would solve a lot of problems and make it much faster!
When I was playing the missions sorted differently in Redacted than they did in Prime and Redacted was able to load tons more missions before it bottomed out.
I read somewhere that "banner missions" would become a thing. Right now, when you select a mission from the mission list in Prime, and you finish the mission, it takes you back to that screen. Ideally, when you do a series, Prime would select the next one for you automatically. I guess it's just one large mission then, that exists of several missions in the series.
I think this should be added, and I believe it's already mentioned somewhere but I can't seem to find it at the moment.
Use Ingress Mosaik, go to start portal. Choose missions on the start portal and select the mission there. By far the fastest way and avoids the mission browser all-together. Also, the mission browser speedlocks anyway, so better off not to be in scanner when driving in to do a mission.
Due the issues with Prime and mission-browser, most of the new mission-series created in our community end and start from same portal with trivial question like "number of current mission?"
So when your doing banner and you finish an mission, you simply click the same portal again, start next mission, type in the trivial answer and continue from there.
You missed the part where I said I was trying to avoid mission mosaiks, that there were too many mission series and they were drowning out the one and done souvenir missions.
Totally agree. Missions are one reason I keep playing this game when I travel, but I don't often have the hours necessary to slog through a banner. Usually I have to research a location in Intel ahead of time to figure out what single souvenir missions are possible to get done in the limited time I have. Would be great to have a feature to filter out banners, or filter singles, depending on your need. Easy enough for there to be another field in mission creator, to check if this is part of a series or a stand alone.
The simplest solution here is really Ingress Mosaic. Enter the place where you are and you will see all the banners... under the list of banners, the individual missions are listed.
You missed the part where the OP said they were looking for single missions, AND the part where they said this to another poster who posted the same solution you just posted!
My son was using Prime to do a mission banner last night and I have to say it was horrible. I was using Redacted and he often had to ask me where the next mission started so he could click on the portal. The problems with missions in Prime are that it doesn't load as many missions as Redacted and when you click for "more missions" it drops you at the bottom of the list.
So, just to clarify: @gagamick mentions that IM does single missions - the are listed underneath when searching for a place.
Note: it is not a good interface as this is not what IM is designed for. However, it may aid preparation and is potentially better than scouring Intel map.
The OP remains correct in their assessment of the missions interface of the scanners.
Either way if you are standing on the mission portal in Redacted it is at the top of the list unless that portal has multiple missions. If you go to prime usually the first mission listed is 1 or more KM away which makes ZERO sense. Additionally, if you walk within range of a portal you are supposed to hack for the mission, you wi frequently have to tap on it several times, possibly close an information box, zoom in and out before you can select the portal to hack it. This is completely subpar UNSTIFACTORY performance and is one of the main mission related parity issue s related to Prime. Fix it now!
I checked Ingress Mosaic I don't see any single missions. Of course, the website is rather difficult to navigate since there isn't anywhere to switch languages.

You can see Mission Ornaments on their start portals. When I go for a single mission, I always look out for these and check flr missions this way. It's quicker than to search the mission browser.
In a city with a lot of banners there are mission ornaments on every portal.
Search would be an awesome improvement to find specific missions and do banners.
There aren't mission ornaments on mission start portals in Prime anymore. I must say that I haven't really missed them.
