Drawing triangles needs to be reworked.
I'll tell you a typical situation. Ukraine is the same small country as Poland, Switzerland, Austria. Recently, we have greatly reduced the number of agents. In one city, where previously there were 20 agents from both factions, there are now only a few agents left, and even they come into the game only to cover and recharge the fields. I had to sit for more than two weeks under a green field, unable to play with drawing triangles. And this is now in many regions. Hang huge fields for several months and it is impossible to play. And if these are the fields of your faction, then it is unnatural to **** them down even according to the plot. Maybe the company should rework the mechanics of drawing triangles?
And if you need to rework the main mechanics of the game, how to do it? Write your comments.

Many hated it, but honestly, the Matryoshka event showed that allowing links and fields under already established fields works. Cities that have previously been under perma-fields started to get active again, with a lot more agents out and about.
Alternatively, Niantic could look towards finally shaking up how the score works. At the moment, it incentivizes perma-fields. Changing how the score works, like only counting fields that were thrown after the last checkpoint/cycle would at least require agents to constantly go out and rethrow these perma-fields.
However, no matter what you'll do, someone will always disagree and raise a stink. These two options are coming from someone who's mostly playing solo, so I have no idea what goes into the logistics of these perma-fields and how many people actually want those.
Ingress is much more than just making links and fields.
It is about jumping into a group to organize taking down larger fields and building new ones for your team. It might even be an international group.
Throw tactical blocks.
Travelling with friends is by far something that you will cherish.
I will say, in my area, that seems to be something agents only talk about, the big fields they threw in 2014 or this anomaly they helped win, etc. Definitely doesn't feel like there is any excitement about that type of game play in my area and since I've been playing the last 3 years heavily, there hasn't been any crazy ops I can remember. Sounds fun though and would love to partake. You want me to hike up a mountain the middle of the night, heck yes!
I still feel that huge fields should have dynamic decay so a field worth 500k mu should cost alot to keep up vs a small of 5000 only,...
i so agree on that
"13-15 February: “Link to Your Heart” (#IngressValentines)
Its like a Matryoshka, but in a more limited way. It will be interesting to see what will happen.
Completely agree about who Niantic incentivate it because of the MU score. it should count MUs from the start of the circle as it counts for agents score. That is the main problem.
DInamic Decay it's very interesting too..
Niantic, Why not a survey about options? Permafields it's a reason for not getting more agents, i read lot of new agents who doesnt understand why they are not able to link and left the game so early without community help
Maybe do it so you can still do but suffer a penalty for each portal covered by your permafield. Preferably large enough that it has to be thought about whether or to go for the huge field???
My area Covid put water on the crazy ops. The twelve months before Covid, there were at least half a dozen major ops in my box alone.
Tbh its the cell scoring needs to be reworked, either add more things to calculate and/or make cells 4x bigger (like from XXYY-aaaaaBB to XXYY-aaaaa
Making cells bigger isn't the solution.
Just recalculate MU every Septicycle from zero, thus only count MU created in that Septicycle.
Before anyone tries to rework the scoring mechanic, I think it'd be best to revisit how and why people are motivated to care in the first place.
It's been years since cell scores or the global score made a difference in-game. It's been years since there was an event that depended on these scores.
Fiddling with the details of a mechanic that doesn't actually affect anything strikes me as rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
so what do u suggest?
That Niantic work on this? Or that Niantic bite the bullet and remove the scoring mechanic altogether?
I'm not a game designer; this isn't my problem to solve.
Easy to see it being irrelevant, when 50% of the game was deleted due to covid-19 and the introduction of the Prime UI/UX
Niantic does need to make building control fields relevant again.
But so is about the other half of the game.
Where does Brian focus the dev team to do. Lag obviously, but other things too.
We have linkamp mod,so why don't give it additional "matryoshka" ability ?
