Nemesis, in July?
Could that long fabled 3rd faction (red) finally be approaching? Feel like it's been a persisting rumor for so long it's hard to ever really think it's going to happen... Can't help but notice those red warning lights in the back... Supposedly these guys are enemies of recursion simulacra...
Notice how he said faction doesn't matter, blue or green, that these guys must be stopped....
What do you guys think?

The Ingress logo switching to Nemesis really does make me think we are going to be seeing the universes collide more
I'm torn between wanting an NPC faction that spreads like a plague...that both teams would actually have to work together to stop once in awhile...
Or towards just straight up having a third faction that you can join.
I wonder if the new series of anomalies will be similar to Osiris?
I actually want there to be a losing condition which makes it possible for Nemesis to win.
If we are fighting Nemesis, make it so we actually are fighting them instead of each other during the anomalies.
I fear that if Nemesis is a non existent threat in the eyes of the average player people would be turned off of the lore since Nemesis would be a boogeyman that can't affect players outside of temporary game mechanic changes that we already seen (ie increased decay). I'd actually would love them to be a threat even if the are NPC mobs that occasionally attack portals and turn them red.
A nemesis victory medal on anomaly goers profiles....hmmm
Really hopeful for a common enemy out of Nemesis. Something tangible enough to change gameplay and actually make the factions work together both at a local level and globally through Anomalies. Looking at you anime style Dark XM portals! The Xfac component of Via Noir that pitted agents against OLW and the creation of his Tecthulhu felt like it had no teeth. At least during the fight against the old school Devra virus and recent Dark XM event we had some tangible stakes with realistic loss conditions. All the current Nemesis teasers feel like we will soon have a real battle on our hands and I hope Niantic follows through on that hype.
