Passcode already redeemed from Agent email

I got a new email with the subject of exclusive pass code being already redeemed. Any others have this problem?

  • Yes, I receives such a mail with a 'valuable Ingress Prime passcode' to 'receive a special Support Kit' this morning. And it was also already redeemed. Thanks Niantic for that!

    how is this possible? arent those unique for agents?

  • At least the subject says: "Agent : Exclusive Passcode and New Ingress Events". So I assume it should be unique.

    What probably happened is it hung up a little so you double tapped "redeem" and on the second tap it said "already redeemed". This happened to me with the first Saturday code but when I looked at my gear it had been added. I just didn't get the animation.

    I got the code "qpu77e19939ja" which was posted to passcode channels yesterday. So hardly exclusive.

    I had the same problem. @arealbearwhale thanks for sharing the code they sent you, because I got the same code, QPU77E19939JA (copied directly from my email). That would explain why it was already redeemed.

    The way it was worded made it sound like this was an "exclusive" passcode, generated just for me, but maybe they meant it was exclusive to the those that get emails from NIA and check them?

    Edit: Actually, scratch that. That would apply to "fully redeemed" passcodes. I have already used this passcode in the past, but not from this email, so I don't have a reasonable theory how that happened.

    I also got this email with the same passcode. However, it makes no sense to me to email a passcode that is old enough to find its way to the community. Should better be a new one. The email points to this forum as new, which is also an old information.

  • It's the same code they sent us a while back, weird to send it again as some sort of unique super special gift when it's a repost.


    The email title also mentions news about the events for next year, but then there is nothing in the email about or even linking directly to those events or any information.

  • I saw this code somewhere else and shared it to my locals in December 5th. Everyone I've asked so far received the same code. Such a confusing email. Maybe it was sent accidentally before it was ready?

  • I have raised this with support and was simply td I was not fast enough. The exclusive code I received was sent to other people, explaining why it was already redeemed. That is Not Exclusive, in the slightest, I'm furious with this misleading advertising. Ultimately they are giving away pixels, if they do this, the passcode should be unlimited, set so all agents can claim it once. This needs to be properly escalated and stopped, it is very poor marketing indeed.

    "Already redeemed" means that you have used it yourself already. That's different from "fully redeemed" which would mean a limited code had been used by too many other agents.

    This passcode was shared in channels local to me on Jan 3rd. I also received it in the email entitled "Exclusive Passcode and New Ingress Events" on Jan 16th. So the passcode seemingly wasn't very exclusive. Mind you, the email also said that the ingress community is "now live" and we've been using it for well over 6 months already, so...
