    1) Third Faction wherein the best and verified agents can lead and mentor newbies out there.

2.) Able to duplicate keys in Very Rare Capsules given that we still have a pandemic and gas prices are still up - I thought Niantic supports in decreasing the carbon footprint on our planet.

3.) Efficient and Stable Niantic servers for a better gaming experience.

@ZeroHecksGiven , one needs lots of keys (almost near 100) of one portal and more luck in duplicating. Can't Niantic make the duplication rate higher using QCs? Why nerf the QCs in the first place? Btw, Hi and TY Wise Man ;)

    1. (a) Drones should always see portals within a kilometer. It is SO frustrating to not be able to see a portal you could see in person, and SO frustrating for your drone to get stuck somewhere it cannot get out of - can't even go back to the prior portal. Why have a distance stat, when it is so sabotaged? (b) Drone portals-visited layer, for the uniques stat. (c) More badges would be nice too. Other than those things, planning and executing the drone is really fun.
    2. Adding to the requests for mission authoring tool update. (a) Should be able to filter by Published, Submitted, Draft in Review (aka edits to published missions), and Drafts. (b) A Drafts TAB with checkboxes and a delete button. I probably have over 100 draft missions that I'd like to delete, but I don't want to devote hours to it. This should only be available on the Drafts tab - don't make it easy to delete published missions! (c) The circular picture should be displayed exactly the same on: the mission tool, the Missions function from the scanner, and as a badge on a profile. (Currently shown differently on the scanner.)
    3. The intel map (a) mission button should have a filter to only show missions the agent has not done. Currently, this filter is only on the scanner, so only helpful for missions within 7k. We need to be able to plan outings, by seeing what missions we have NOT done in the next town 10k away, or vacation destination 1000k away. (b) The drones visited layer should also work from the Intel map.

I'd like to remove how photos (for nominations, or adding to an existing portal) are shown to the agent cropped differently from how they'll appear in game. A picture can look perfectly fine when you submit it, but in game the top third is chopped off - removing heads from statues, words from signs, and other kinds of ugliness.

  • The view a drone has is the same as the view you would have on the scanner if you were stood at that exact same point. I cannot see a portal approx 670m away from me as it is too far (although just as you can for the drone, you can make it visible with the key trick).

  • Nope. I've even driven to the portal where my drone was, and I could see others that my drone could not see.

It's based on S2(?) map cells. You can only see like 10 feet into the next cell. You can only see farther if you have a key to the destination portal. Which was a little bit fun when I was getting uniques around home or work, but just kills the game if you're exploring someplace where you don't have keys, and is impractical to drive to.

Yes, the drone view is the level 16 s2 cells required to cover a 500m circle centred on your drone position. And from observation I am confident the view from the scanner is exactly the same - but it is highly unlikely that you manage to stand in exactly the position of the portal. For most portals in cities, there will be somewhere that the circle is close to the edge of an S2 cell, so a slight difference in position will mean you see extra (or fewer) cells in the scanner.

I am not sure what you mean "you can only see 10 feet into the next cell". In drone view (and scanner) you can either see all the portals in the S2 cell or none. The exception is a portal that is only visible by the key trick. Depending on where you are, the sides of the level 16 cells are in the region of 100-150m - their exact size and shape varies across the world.

If you give an example of a portal you are (trying) to stand on exactly, and the extra portals you see in the scanner vs drone view, I can check if they are close to a border and if this is the explanation. Even being a few centimetres off portal centre can be enough to make the difference.

  • My wishlist:

    1. Portals the drone has visited in the DroneNet layer
    2. A better badge for drones - unique visits would have been a better choice than drone hacks imo
    3. Media lockers. I am loathe to recycle my FS media, and along with others linked to in person events I have been to I have around 50 media, I am sure others have more.

And lose - the lag. recharging becomes tedious, fully deploying a portal - well, I don't know what happens there, but once upon a time I could fully deploy a portal as I walked towards and away from it, now I have to stop and wait for the game to decide what it is doing.

  • 1. Unique drone visited badge, and shown in drone layer.

    2. Do something to address large permanent fields, it's killing the game in many areas. Whether it be faster decay, destabilising after x days or something else.

    3. An ability to show scanner badges in different ways - so you can show them in traditional order, or grouped by type (main ingress badges, characters, paid, Anomoly), or by level etc, and the user can flip between them

Man, I just want my portals discovered stat to uptick and give me AP again.
