How about renewed(?) attention to cell scores. Getting leader(s) some decent benefit, like passcode output, or badge? Most XM per cycle in cell?
Next to that battle between neighbouring cells...
The global stats event has surely created some ideas for independent and/or group play...
And when there are in person events, there should be one per cell too... not every person has the ability to travel mid/long distance... this game was initially (for me) a walk and explore stimulus, which I could also continue during vacation trips, but most of the year I am at home and would still like to play regularly...
I think it would be a good idea to keep the IFS at home and in live. do both. many of us live in areas or regions where there are hardly any agents to do an IFS. If both formats are maintained, virtual events can always be set up for people who either cannot attend or are very far from cities that can organize them. I would keep both formats but not mixing them. So we could all continue doing these events that also the virtual is quite fun with the photo mosaics.
Hoping for a Camp Navarro / Schloss Kaltenberg type event during 2022, and that anomalies will return to the distributed format they used to have, not the Requiem format (just one single event in the whole world).
I like how people completely forgot about Mission Days now that this second sunday thing is live. Of course people have badges ticks now, why would anyone need a Mission Day.
Never attended a live event outside of First Saturday, so not sure what to expect.
I’ve heard good things about NL-1331 events so that would be great. But I’ve also heard that there are issues and extra expenses (mostly related to Brexit) in bringing the event to the UK.
Also, I never experienced Real shards and I am really curious to know, what long time players talk about when they talk about shards.
Whatever you decide, there needs to be a strong faction vs faction element. I believe I enjoyed tesselation as much as I did because it Was very a Hard fought for victory.
I love all kinds of events... Except global shards. Local/regional shards could be fun. But not global faction v faction shards. They take so much work and tend to burn out agents and have a way of creating hurt feelings with agents who either feel left out or that too much is being asked of them.
But I'd LOVE to see hexathlons, mission days, of course anomalies, and am intrigued by the idea @Perringaiden mentioned about portal hunts.
For example, instead of "can ENL or RES capture more portals", the faction that captures the most portals within a cell gets one point for their faction towards the global score. This would promote more local engagement than previous global challenges, and mitigate the effects of portal dense areas having a disproportionate influence on the global challenge.
And it doesn't have to be portal captures, MU would also be fun
Well, it would be good if the face-to-face or mixed ifs return for those who cannot always attend, the return of the nl would also be good, of course the anomalies among others
I agree with the return of face-to-face events and it would be much more inclusive if within the same countries we could apply for different events such as Hexatlon or Field Test
Mission Days and other missions-related events, like what we had in NYC a few years ago where 2 xfac teams competed who can solve puzzles and complete missions fastest.
I've only managed to attend a few live events as they require quite a bit of traveling.
Mission Night in Montreal, 3 First Saturdays in Toronto.
I would love to see the Van tour outside of the United States. Winter would not deter most agents.
I do not know how shard events work but from a few more experienced agents I've talked to, it was mostly a negative experience.
Mission Days in cities or town that have not already hosted them multiple times would be nice.
Hexathalons and Field Tests were pretty limited in their locations. Participation was not possible for a lot of agents.
Personally, I have never run into an agent that cared about Cell Scores whatsoever. It has always seemed like not an important part of the game in my play area. I don't know how making them more important to agents play would work.
I would LOVE to participate in a GORUCK event. What are peoples feelings on physical patches vs. scanner badges? I like physical swag but I always want my scanner profile to show what I participated in.
I always wanted to participate in a recharge room. Getting to an actual anomaly site while real Anomalies were actually happening, before they started to kerfuffle how they worked, was a bit difficult. I have to local agents that traveled for a Recharge Room and said it was an amazing experience to get to meet agents and participate in something bigger that was a team effort.
Kind of agree with giving a meaning of winning a cell. It would be good to give rewards to the faction, not only the persons who does the mu, they are usually not alone and need helps (supply, intel, cleaning etc etc...).
So why not an month event where the faction that win the cell will get some benefits?
As much as I'd love a new story line, even as a story nerd, I have to admit that maybe 5% of players pay attention or actively participate in. It makes sense from a business perspective to shelf the storyline until better times.
Other than anomalies? Well those few words dampened the effect of shouting "anomalies, anomalies, ANOMALIES!"
Well, anomalies are my top, but I'd also particularly like to see:
Full mission days (not just Second Sundays)
Shard events -- if they can't be on a global scale just yet then maybe national will work. They can be exhausting for agents but they are also a lot of fun.
In-person First Saturdays with stats competitions and restocking portals -- we can already do in-person FS if we want, but let's bring it back properly. On that note, if we have a "distance walked" competition it should not require Adventure Sync to be competive, so I again suggest that, if there is a stat and/or badge that incorporates Adventure Sync that it is separate from the existing stat and badge. Please do continue with the virtual FS and the puzzles that came with.
More competitive events -- the events of late, even before COVID-19, tended more towards the cooperative, and I'd like to see the return of more faction vs faction play, the stuff that gets us together in teams against the opposition -- it's both cooperative and competitive.
I'd also like to see:
Virtual FS continue along with in-person FS.
Second Sundays continue, but please make them a separate event and achievement from Mission Days.
Hexathlons -- they're not my thing, but I do like a good meet up, and I know other people really do enjoy them, so continue the fun.
Hexathalons every 3 months/quarter in many cities/towns, so that even domestic travel within countries still affected by Covid-19 restrictions, allows players to visit new places for in person events.
Anomalies and Mission Day events - at least one of each as a large in person city event per year in every country wanting one.
Sick to **** of boring virtual IFS with people mainly just sitting at screens and choosing various ways and times to “participate”.
I personally don’t participate in Second Sundays, as not a true Mission Day for my badge clicks.
But would consider attendance if in person as I like the idea of another regular monthly meetup, but needs to have some kind of new mission quest attached to the live event. Perhaps like the portal hunt idea suggested above.

Does this summary trigger creative ideas?
leaderboard is just a joke as it doesn't even count mu on CP.
if you give to 1st one some reward you'll just see backpack account destroying anchors and main rethrowing.
+ most of the job is done by those whose clean not the one who actually create the field.
Ingress just need more goal / laderboard and a stat for mu destroyed which is as important as mu done !
HI

I think many want those, but since mission days are related to anomalies niantic need make those aswell since they go hand in hand.
I want Tesselation Event.
Mission Days.
NL1331 tour through Europe (announced at least three months in advance, so that people can plan ahead)
Never attended a live event outside of First Saturday, so not sure what to expect.
I’ve heard good things about NL-1331 events so that would be great. But I’ve also heard that there are issues and extra expenses (mostly related to Brexit) in bringing the event to the UK.
Go for it.Keep back live events
Hello, i want :
- True MD or others medal for Second Sunday
- Hexalton
- Prime Challenge (three)
- Goruck
- EOS
- Shards
- Tesselation V2
How about double AP for lighting up portals with fireworks and beacons during Diwali?
I'd love to have another Tesselation-like Event!
Also, I never experienced Real shards and I am really curious to know, what long time players talk about when they talk about shards.
Whatever you decide, there needs to be a strong faction vs faction element. I believe I enjoyed tesselation as much as I did because it Was very a Hard fought for victory.

Random glyph challenge.
A challenge where glyps are created random and need to be repeated. Thus not the existing only but also total random ones.
Please with a check if people use glyph record and recrrate software because they make the challenge unfair. (as they already do now)
My suggestions:
- Hexalton ( local level competition), can accumulate score for world wide.
- Battle beacon event ( xfaction at local area)
- Tesselation
A global challenge scored by cells.
For example, instead of "can ENL or RES capture more portals", the faction that captures the most portals within a cell gets one point for their faction towards the global score. This would promote more local engagement than previous global challenges, and mitigate the effects of portal dense areas having a disproportionate influence on the global challenge.

Hi, my suggestions:
Mission Day + GoRuck, availables in more countries and regions, MD created By agents is cool.
implement a new monthly competition like the one played in July 2021.
XF Event
NL1331
Competitive Event
Global Shard,Connected Cell,Special Field Operation
It would be nice if all of this information is provided as a prelude to the final round of anomalies.
And I hope that the Anomaly will be held in Munich, a place we could not reach.
Playing for four years or so..

Many agents want a new storyline.
As much as I'd love a new story line, even as a story nerd, I have to admit that maybe 5% of players pay attention or actively participate in. It makes sense from a business perspective to shelf the storyline until better times.
Mission Days are independent from anomalies, however many mission days are held the day after an anomaly.
Other than anomalies? Well those few words dampened the effect of shouting "anomalies, anomalies, ANOMALIES!"
