REPORT: Portal moved, links gone

It is now commonplace for many players to make requests to move portals to drop strategic links that many players have made after traveling miles of road. I therefore ask Niantic to not drop the links to every move, at least if they do not cross any existing links! This type of game is unfair and in Italy, but also in the rest of the world, is catching on making it unsustainable and disheartening. Below there is the report of the last move made in Calabria (Italy): the trajectory freed with the fall of our links was crossed almost immediately.

Many agents who had worked and contributed to the creation of those links felt cheated (it is often a matter of minimal moves) and some are abandoning the game.

Niantic please resolve this situation as soon as possible, thank you!

Youve not actually put on your map where it was previously compared to where it is now, just viewing it where it currently is it looks like its in the correct place.

Was it a micro move ? , do you have details of where it was before ?

Also a consensus needs to be reached, from members of both faction, for a move to take place, so its not just one side agreeing it to be moved, members of the opposite team are also agreeing it.

many pogo players try move portals to another cell to get a pokestop or gym, moves like that should get your acc banned, if a portal has no needs to be moved it should NOT be moved! period.. i dont care if a gym or pokestop in another game can benefit.. it destroys the game with all moves for portals that dont need.

I've seen some edits with a dozen or more location dots, all practically on top of one another, all of them close enough to be considered on the right spot. It's difficult to even click on the one you want, there are so many overlapping. I think it's time they limited the number of location edits a single player can submit, at the least.

When I see these, I often suspect they're trying to break a link.

I never understood the choice to destroy all the links if the portal is moved, made more sense before they fell only if they crossed others.

However the problem is not the rule, but the movements made ad hoc to get this thing, I do not understand how do they pass in OPR.

Or it could be someone submitting a location update over several months/years and it still hasn't got through. To date, I have never gotten a signal portal edit through and I have made several location updates where the portal was placed in the wrong location. And the only time I got a location update through was when I contracted Niantic directly to have a library moved over 1/2 mile to the correct location. And I know of one library and post office that is 5 miles off from their correct locations. I'm not sure why it is impossible to get location edits through OPR.
