Ingress does not properly utilize the ProMotion display of the new iPhones. This can easily be enabled with a plist entry.

Before 120hz is enabled, I think the first step should be to enable 60hz across all phones. Without any workarounds, Ingress is still chugging along with 30hz on most phones.

i rather want them fix the lag problems then more hz..

  • Could be my imagination but either iOS 15.0.1 or the latest Ingress update 2.81.2-b90c7368 has made the game run much smoother on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. It is at least 60hz now.

  • There's no lag problem, it's just heavy... I thought that too on my HTC U12+ pretty much since I got it few months it came out. Over the 5 years it ran solid, but laggy. Got the new Asus ROG 5S, and omgosh... Thing runs silly fast lol. There ain't no lag problem, it's just heavy.

Soooo, I propose we ask for heaviness options enabled / disable. More display elements control, and ability to neuter it when ne essary lol. If we all believe the game should played at max as much as possible, only having full max options and no granular control is actually making NOT run "max" on lower spec phones, like not max fun you know? Been a thing for years, since day one when I loaded it on my HTC Evo LTE I think Lolol 🤔.

Buuuuut, this insane 16gb Asus ROG 5S really woops the lamas, ya know what I mean? Which makes Ingress woop the lamas, ok ok I'll stop now.

    Cheers everyone!
