Ingress Player Email Update
On Thursday, 23 September at 1000 UTC-7 (10AM PT), we’ll be pushing a small change that will update the email address associated with your Niantic Account to the email address most recently connected to your Ingress account the next time you log into Ingress.
Please note this will only impact you if you’ve ever changed the email address associated with your Ingress account. This will not change the way you sign into the Ingress app.
What does this impact? After the change goes live and you’ve signed into your Ingress account:
- The email address you use to sign into Intel Map will be whatever email address you’ve most recently added to your Ingress account.
- Emails sent to you from Niantic, such as Portal attack notifications, the Ingress monthly newsletter, and confirmation of Missions received, will now go to the email address you’ve most recently added to your Ingress account.
Once this change goes live, if you have any trouble signing into Intel Map or the Mission Authoring Tool, please contact our Ops Team via your Scanner. If you’re unable to sign into the Scanner, please visit https://ingress.com/support > Troubleshooting > Help with Sign-in Issues.
