Is it worth updating a mission banner/mosaic?
in General
This summer, I created a nice banner/mosaic for a small island with motifs of the most interesting buildings (windmill and lighthouse) of the island.
The island had around 210 Portals when I planned the banner. Now, it has around 260 Portals. Since I needed to use some Portals twice, the question is would it be useful to update the missions in order to use more unique Portals and don't use some of them twice. Also, the distance between some missions might decrease.
Stats:
With the 50 new Portals, the number of uniques would go up while the distance drops.
Has anyone made any experience with things like this? I'm fearing rejections of some of the edits so the route would not make sense anymore.

I recommend create a new banner with another image.
Maybe you can keep the route the same, but change individual missions in ways that would improve the banner as a whole. Use the new portals, reduce duplicates, shorten the route. I did that with a banner a couple years ago - and one mission edit is still waiting approval. The banner still works with some old, some updated. It just has a spot that could be better.
A whole new banner is a good idea too! Maybe make the new one quick, around more clustered portals. Then the older banner could be for unique hunting.
Since there already are four banners on an island without an active player, I don't think a fifth banner is really needed. I would only update the current, not only because another 36-mission-banner would slowly exceed my capacies of possible missions.
Delete the old one and create a new one!
But create the new one first...just in case 😉
Will the banner in your profile get reset aswell?
No, done missions/banners stay in your profile, even when you put it offline or delete the missions.
That way you can delete your missions, send new ones and keep counting up your SPECOPS medal. 👍
