[Request Change] Niantic Chat as separate App

OS: Android 11
Device: Galaxy S21 Ultra Exynos 2100
Issue:
Niantic Chat is too cumbersome, detracting from gameplay.
The amount of time to switch between the game and chat is far too slow.
It is very annoying to be that feature filled inside of a game, any game.
There is no other way to fix this. Niantic Chat needs to be a separate/optional app, to enable seamlessly switching from game to Niantic Chat and to other 3rd party chat programs such as Telegram and Discord.

I think it would be enough to move the chat icon somewhere like in Catan. Definitely much more comfortable in terms of UX.
But I agree that this delays it unnecessarily.
Yes, we need to be able to switch back and forth without losing context.
Example: tap on a portal, hop into chat to ask what the requested mods are.
Yes, I agreed @Grogyan the chat function being baked into the game really detracts from the experience.
A stand alone app, or partnering with discord (using discord as an example as the current chat is akin to a lite version of discord) would be very good, especially if they could integrate the live location sharing and the event management 👌🏻
I think it would be much more convenient to go between the chat and the game without having to go back and forth inside of it.
Switching between TG and Ingress to check chats and have the ability to easily respond from alerts is nice.
It's also appealing to not have to download a separate app, so I'm curious to see what the most fluid way to use both would be.
If loading times can be reduced (I'm hoping they will be over time) I don't think a separate app is necessary. Always having a button to swap between Ingress and chat would be mandatory though. Having the "Return to Ingress" button always visible in Niantic Chat could solve one half, and a small always visible button (similar to the layers menu?) for Niantic Chat in Ingress could solve the other half. An always visible button in Ingress could tough for the UI placement but would be close to necessary imo.
