If your field is enveloped by a single field of the opposite faction, it will appear as “teal” underneath your field. However, with enough multi-layered/stacked fields of the opposite faction it will overtake yours and completely “cancel out” your field’s color. The only thing that will be visible is the links, unless you are looking at Intel map.

Not a bug.
The bug is that visually it doesn’t actually cancel out when viewed from certain directions. But the one mentioned here, it is not a bug.
