Thank you for planning the events! I'm absolutely excited for them.
I noticed that there are dates but not times. Instead of UTC±0, why not use local times? Hackstreaks and the upcoming SS show that the system can handle different time zones. Is this something the Ingress Team is interested in implementing going forward?
Ah, gotcha. I believe though that Adventure Sync isn't in the works right now, as the Ingress servers haven't moved to the Niantic Lightship platform yet which support it.
The measuring right now only works when ingress is open
Absolutely yes!
The idea is to play ingress, have ingress open, do ingress actions, interact with the portals and distance is measured while playing ingress, not while just having the phone in our pockets. 😊
Debatable, are you not playing when moving between 2 portals ? What's the point of holding your phone, consuming some battery and maybe not paying attention to your surroundings while you could lock your phone, put it in your pocket and take it again once you reached your target portal ? Ingress can be running in the background and still count distance, I can't see why this is an issue.
Thank you very much for the schedule calendar! Getting an idea of events in advance helps so many agents be able to plan so they can participate in the game they love <3
I like this proposal. Not everyone lives in a city with easy access to flipfielding. Granted, the gold medal is still quite a bit of AP, but very doable, because the event runs for quite a while.
The first Saturday happens on, well, the first Saturday of the month. Same with the Second Sunday during the second Sunday in the month. As the 1st is a Sunday, the first in the Month, the first Saturday and the second Sunday will happen back to back.
Please no. That was incredibly stressful during Via Lux Odyssey, but it would just get insane here. There will be stories of people getting 100M AP, and then everyone else is going to think they need 100M AP, and it's going to spiral to just an insane eruption of AP generators. It should definitely be a fixed amount.
As to how much that fixed amount should be, I'd rather it be set at a reasonable amount that a person can earn without trick plays by playing consistently but not obsessively. 2.9M/10 days is 290k a day, which is pushing it a bit for most agents if you aren't burning through SBULAs, flipcards, and/or battle beacons. microfielding in a dense area is good for about 150k AP/hr, assuming you can find grey portals to work with. So you're looking at 2 hours a day of Ingress time. Maybe less if you can find a place the opposite faction built up and lightly defended, maybe more if you have to work in a low-density area or with same-faction portals. This is right on the edge of what I consider reasonable for a gold event badge, but I'd argue it should be set closer to 2 Million.

너무 기대됩니다.
한국에서도 이벤트가 많았으면 좋겠어요!
@NianticBrian @NianticThia so many people asked about these who got the 6th back in 2017 getting a 7th, really hope not. #Equalitymatters!
Can we have all the events take place in local time? Not UTC.
Ahh, my Question should be clearer, will be Adventurer Sync be implemented until the event.
I don't play Pogo and forgot the term used for Pogo.
The measuring right now only works when ingress is open, right?
And even then it's not really accurate when I compare it with FitBit/Google Fit/Strava.
This challenge is literary is asking for adventure sync to be working.

finally we get some action :)
can't wait
Yeay! New events with new medals!

This is what I expect, but there's no real challenges a long time ago for those badges, I think Aurora was the last one.
Since the event lasts ten days, I think that the amount of AP to get should be something like this:
In my opinion they would be acceptable amounts for those days.
Would be okay with this, a few battle beacons and a capsule worth of keys and I'd be done in no time
Wish there was a LOVE!!!
So many people messaged me "did you see about the sixth key locker?" because I've been asking for this for years!
Thank you for listening to us, my money is yours! 😂
Won't try changing your mind. The numbers look good and I wish those were actual tiers 👍 Tired of easy gold badges
Is this an official statement of the AP needed for each tier or is it just a joke?
Ok, I will also offer:
• Bronze: 88% of the best in terms of AP score
• Silver: 38% of the best
• Gold: 8% of the best
The amount of AP to pass the threshold is unknown until the end of the event, as it was at the Via Lux Adventure. What do you think?
ME WANTS THAT
If it was a MU event, maybe, but for AP would be just paytowin with apex and battle beacons.
4 dislikes by those who didn't take onyx on EXO5 Controller
Good point. Because I'd forgotten they even existed. I'm too old.
Aug.7th: First Saturday
one day after…
Aug.8th: Second Sunday
is there sth wrong?
