OPR will use Apple Maps?
Just yesterday, Apple Maps cars are photographing my entire city. On the web I read that as early as July, Apple will be presenting its competitive version of Google Maps / StreetView to the public.
Will OPR also check the presence of portals on Apple Maps? These last ones are obviously more up-to-date than the Google Street View (which in my city has not passed for at least 5-6 years).

Think that would all depend on how tied up with Google Niantic still are. Although they are an independent company now its on record that Google invested money into them just before Pogo released, be a fair bet that there were probably some stipulations with that investment.
As an OPR reviewer it will be useful to have another mapping service to use to check submission locations. I've found on a number of occasions locations that are not visible on the version of google maps OPR uses are on normal google maps or bing maps.
also worth remembering that Samsung have heavily invested in Niantic so with Google and Samsung on their investors list i highly doubt they would switch their maps service to Apple
The more Information sources I can gather to determine if a submission is legit the better . I hope we can use both as sometimes google is very out of date .
I don't think the new “Look Around” feature will be available on the Web, like Google Street View.
It seems that it will be an exclusive iOS feature right now (available from the Maps app), so I don't think there's any way NIA could build it into OPR.
