I wish there was a stop closer to the midwest. It'd be a 17-18 hour drive to the closest stop on their tour- if I had a magic car that didn't need to stop to refuel and a bladder that didn't need emptying.
So realistically, I'd need 2-3 days to get to the closest stop.
Only one so far. I had everything done and put into the system an hour after the applications were released in Jan 2020. Ethan asked if I wanted to include the Mission Day to the NL-1331X tour which was pushed by several Niantic employees for Murrieta to host the tour from what I heard. I got the hint of it from @NianticBrian at the Battle Beacon event in LA and then later by @NianticThia in a telegram message. Already planning everything out for next month. Hope to see many Agents at checkout time!
Honestly, you should just produce a bunch of codes for the latest NL-1331 badge and print then on little slips of paper and sell them only to folks who attend...yeah, we want the kits, but barring getting one of those (and this will likely be the first time I get boxed out of getting a kit, despite having visited NL-1331 nearly 2 dozen times now) I'm sure most folks would settle for a new badge on their agent profile.
And they wouldn't take up very much room when you're on the road.
It's not letting us buy more than two items in one order, and everything is listed individually rather than in a kit option. So you can only get a sticker sheet and a patch in an order under one email address, for example
@NianticThia Hi! Question: (Specifically for the Murrieta Mission Day + NL event) Will the purchase of a NL-1331 kit for Murrieta automatically register a participant for the Mission Day AND the tiered NL-1331 event? After purchasing a kit, I attempted to register for the free events, but was unable to with the same email address. Could you clarify? Thanks.
If you are attending and buying a supporter kit, do you also need to register the free ticket to get the badge tick, or will the supporter kit that includes your agent name be enough? The event page says "you must check-in using either a free or paid ticket where a valid agent name Is entered" but I believe in the past you needed the free ticket whether or not you had bought the supporter pack.
During the last run of NL-1331 before the world went all crazy the paid ticket was sufficient...but I always brought both anyway and had them both scanned.
The concern I have (and what I believe led to me actually losing five badge ticks [though I did manage to get three of them back]) is in regards to the way Splash deals with "purchasing" multiple items where it wants you to provide different emails for each item...but you still have to put your agent name down. I actually have 2 emails, one that I use for the game and a second that I use for purchases, so I would use the email linked to my Ingress account for the free ticket, but my 2nd account (not linked to my account, but with my IGN still attached to it) for purchasing the kit. How does Niantic handle that?
I've been told they have fixed the multiple email address issue now. But I also ran into that for the swag items. I put my real ingress email address on the paid supporter kit and then I used the plus alias trick for all of the additional swag items I ordered (plush, pulls, etc). They all came to my main email address anyway as a single PDF.
Can someone confirm if these are the in-game badges that correspond to the NL-1331 cards? I don't have the first one, but I do have the other 2 and those badges.
We'll, I was excited for this, but everything closed out almost instantaneously. The sign-up mechanic via this site (layers of tiny, un-highlighted links, one with a "you are leaving!" warning, made it difficult enough. But we were locked out in no time, for an activity that's basically hack-this-portal and a few stats contests.
Suggestion: Advise Nia contact organizers of Netherlands IFS for advice on how to do stats games with lots and lots of people, seamlessly, without cutting people out of playing.
The "you are leaving" warning is indeed quite irritating. And on the phone, I need to scroll down to the bottom to even realize I need to click on another link to get to where I wanted to go. The first time it happened, I thought the link was broken.
But regarding being locked out, I think you're mistaken. In fact, Portland opened up for registration (I don't think there's an announcement?). San Francisco, Salt Lake City, and Denver has not started RSVP for NL1331 yet.

Why are there 3 stops in Texas alone?
Good to see you back on the road. Looking forward to the DFW stop.
Glad to see the van on the road! I have been hoping against hope for years to one day see it! #canada
Happy to see events happening again. Wish you came further east than Dallas, though.
Now we need the NL-1331 van to make its way to Canada @NianticThia
With July 9th just a few days away.... Do you have times & location set yet?
Yep, see:
NL-1331X is expected to rendezvous at Jack London Square during the Second Sunday event happening from JUL 9-JUL 12.
The post itself is about the meetup with Niantic, but the van will be there for the 4 days listed above.
And Kansas City!!!
INCOMING AGENT COMM

The link in the Telegram channel doesn't work, just as a heads up (https://bit.ly/NL1331X21)
Thank you @InvestigateXM - TG was giving me issues.
just booked my Denver trip!
I would like to join the event, but EU-citizens (even C19-vaccinated ones) are not allowed to enter the US so far. So I have to wait for NL-1331X.
Past 2200 UTC...still no registration links on the event pages @NianticThia
Apologies for the delay - I'm investigating!
Try now!

Works! But:
Splashthat considers every item an extra ticket, and you can't use the same email for more then one ticket.
You can get around by it by using aliases on Gmail (attaching +something behind your mail), but not optimal.

@NianticThia Looks like the only one not open yet is Marfa, TX...but Portland, OR is open for RSVP despite not being on the list

Curious about this as well, checked out and realized I hadn't grabbed the free RSVP ticket, oooops. I suppose I can just go through it again, but...
