Power consumption seems much higher when "unique captures" layer is enabled

I haven't collected the system energy consumption information yet, but my Android phone turns itself off due to low batter on my normal walk if I have the unique captures layer enabled (possibly the others, too) but has the usual amount of battery left if I turn off the layer and restart the app before leaving.

quite likely,, i imagine, querying every portal in range of scanner is power hungry, else you would be compaining of update lag...
