2.72.1 update breaks on zoom in or out on iPhone SE

After downloading the latest version of the scanner on iOS 14.4.2 on a 2nd gen iPhone SE, I can not use the scanner. As soon as I touch the screen to zoom in or out for a portal, it goes black and stays black. I have deleted and re-downloaded Ingress, and I have rebooted the phone. I’m dead in the water, folks.
