This would actually be helpful, but is it possible with the phone OS? Android has one default notification sound, and you can set a custom notification sound for all notifications within an app. I don't think the app itself can control different sounds for different types of notifications through the phone OS.
One easy work-around, if you don't mind a somewhat delayed notification, is to send email, filter them, and have a different notification sound for email. So, for example, have email notify you of everything else, and app notify you of attacks only.
On Android, the classic scanner ("Redacted") had a settings option for selecting the notification sound. The default was a custom, Ingress-specific clip.
Slack's current mobile app uses custom notification sounds.
So, I gather that it is possible for Prime to use a custom notification sound. It just currently doesn't offer the option to.

Notification sounds on a device from push notifications are controlled by the OS, not from the app
