[2.70.1] Drone Remote View shows mini-drone with Drone Layer active

Clicking on the Drone network will display your own drone, but if you have the Drone Layer active as well, you get a mini-me version of your own drone alongside it.

Moving your drone makes it disappear, but it shows up again if you re-enter the Drone Network.

confirmed to be not a bug,

But intentional design, when you compare the UX for shards, and then realizing that for future events, to see how many of a factions drones are at a portal, including yours are at said portal.

  • So the way I think this is meant to work is that the large drone in the center represents you, and the little drones in each of the eight, erm, parking spots represent one drone that's over there. This is only visible when the layer is turned on.

So if you're alone at a portal, with the layer turned on, you will see a large at the center and a small one off to the side.

It seems that the layer button shouldn't affect if I can see other drones on a portal I'm currently on, or even portals I'm viewing through keys. It should only affect the map view. But that's a different issue.
