Scanner stuck- Sync in progress Tutorial Loaded

Scanner loads until I can see the local map, my location indicator, but no objects. No portals, xm, fields, lines, etc.
Removed and reinstalled, worked once.
Not positive, but I BELIEVE it occurred both times after I accessed the intel map.
