How "fast" is "fast track"?
So, yesterday I made my first spoofer report since I started playing (4.5y ago). Guess I was lucky to not encounter spoofing so close to me for the entire time. So let's say I'm a totally new player who doesn't know how Niantic support works and what reputation it has and simply wants some justice.
It's been 30 hours since the report, 32 since the obvious spoofing action in question (1-time throwaway account, nothing fancy) for fast track. No action taken, no links nor a portal itself was reinstated, no answer on email. How long is the wait? And why do they call it "fast track"? I'd expect "fast" to mean a couple hours max...

no links nor a portal itself was reinstated
This will not happen until the account in question is banned and a Vanguard reaches out to you (or maybe someone else) about what the portal's original state was. And that assumes that the portal is eligible for a reset in the first place (not easily accessible, and so on).
It varies from an hour up to about 48hrs for email response.
If the ticket is processed, there'd be at least a "We received your ticket and took appropriate actions".
Plus NIAOPS does not review tickets on the weekend and thus more waiting time than usual if submitted around the weekend. Or perhaps they just had too many tickets to review last weekend.
I have had tickets reviewed on the weekends 🤷🏻♀️
Even 'without' fast track I usually get replies back within 1 business day.
Yeah weekend processing happens, but suspect busier on weekends.
Note that not all reports or categories may be eligible for a fast track. If your ticket isn't eligible for a fast track, it will be reviewed as per the regular timeline.
Also curious to know what counts as "regular timeline"?
42 hours have passed since the my report (#12562620), and no answer.

Sounds like your ticket didn't qualify for fast-track. Unfortunately there isn't a process currently whereby Ops would inform you that your ticket didn't qualify for fast-track and will be reviewed in the standard time.
Yep, it looks like a regular thing - if an agent moves from one portal to another as 7 times faster as a car 🤔
Fast-track is intended to urgently address spoofing at durable/strategic/remote portals and the request is evaluated accordingly.
I think that the scope of the Fast track needs to be expanded. For example, yesterday this spoofer, against which my report was, was able to perform another destructive actions (AFAIK @a1mirr contacted you). But if the actions of NiaOPS had been taken earlier, you would not have to be involved in this.
I do agree, and it appears that this will be done as an add-on to the CORE subscription benefits, as has been mentioned by Niantic.
Been struggling with a spoofer in our area for several weeks now. Reports have done nothing, working with the vanguard hasn’t got us anywhere (not that they aren’t trying) and the agent still roams free.
I think the biggest frustration with this all is like everything else related to Niantic, lack of any sort of communication. Just throw mud at walls until something sticks, if it ever does. This feels more like a game against the spoofers than whatever you should be doing with the game itself. Me, personally, I have no interest spending my summer hoping Niantic will figure this out.
Just wanted to post an update. The spoofer in our area was removed from the system this morning, well, that’s when we noticed. I honestly had given up hope, after jumping through the hoops (reports, fast track, vanguards, etc), following the advice of others and more or less dealing with the problem until there was hopefully enough evidence. It took a little longer than I thought, but it did work. They’re gone. We can finally go back to our regular gameplay.
Thank you niaops for saving a few agents from walking from this game, it was close to happening.

So glad to hear such news! But don't rest easy, as spoofers are commonly linked to some community. If they come back, someone is a bad actor!
