ask about Sojourner medal
"The Sojourner medal is achieved by hacking a Portal in consecutive 24 hours periods. "
Does this mean that i need to hack the -> same <- portal every day or can i hack any other portal to get this count?
Thanks for clearing this! And sry for this noob beginner question :D

Any portal works, doesn't have to be the same portal. And welcome! :)
If i can hack any portal this is easy, thanks for your answer.
As @MonkeyPelt said, any portal. However, it must be within 24 hours of when you LAST HACKED to continue the streak. It is not within each 24 hour day (midnight to midnight) but within 24 hours of the last hack you made.
also, huge welcome to Ingress!! If you haven’t reached out to your local community it’s strongly encouraged you do. You can ask questions here or also message me on Telegram if you have any questions :) . My handle on tel gram is ArkFang, just like here.
Not that easy. It isn't just one hack everyday. If hack just once before your set time, you will lose it, as it doesn't flip at midnight. To make things easier, if you're on the first days, I recommend you to intentionally lose it, and then make your first hack at 00:00h, just to make sure you will never mess up (just wake up and hack, or make sure you hack before going to bed). My time was around 15h, so I almost lost some days, because I couldn't play after that.
Also, dronehack count up to this too, so you can also just garantee to use it 2 times a day and will be good. But I recommend to check the badge everyday to check if it went up.
I wanted to hack in the mornings on my way getting to work and iam also hacking when iam going to bed. So that should work right?
Yup! Morning and evening is the best way to guarantee keeping that streak alive!
It doesn't work like that. If you hack at midnight one day, and then again in the morning, your 24hr period is set to the morning hack time. It was confirmed that the hack period is from your most recent hack, NOT the first hack you make in your sojourner sequence. So as @MonkeyPelt said, ensuring you hack once in the morning (any time) and once in the evening (any time) is the best way to ensure you never miss the time.
Any portal will do, blue/green/neutral.
The Drone also enables Hacking/glyphing on any blue/green/neutral portal for the Sojourner to work.
As a tip, recommend that you have a routine to hack in the morning and evening. That way of you forget to jack during the day, you will not lose Sojourner.
Also, Sojourner will start ticking up at the same time of day (UTC) as the first hack for the Streak to continue, so if yesterday you started Sojourner at 11am with a hack.
Hack again at 8pm. It will not tick up
Hack at 10am the next day. It will not tick up
Hack at 11am, Sojourner will tick up by one.
There is also a one time grace period, if you forget your Sojourner hack, but you should not not rely on this, some have had Sojourner stay alive up to 12 hours after the last time they were supposed to hack and Sojourner keeps going. Others even by 1 minute, and it is gone.
The official rule is as you've described: it always has to be within 24 hours of the last hack. If you hack twice a day at roughly similar times (such as hacking at midnight and then again in the morning) then it will automatically be less than 24 hours and everything will be fine.
The semi-official rule (i.e. I believe Andrew Krug mentioned it in an AMA) is that you get some grace period, as it would be a shame to lose a long hacking streak just by being half an hour late. The amount of grace period is not specified nor guaranteed. I have what I believe to be the current maximum value of 2,186 days and in that time there have been maybe half a dozen occasions where it was slightly over 24 hours since the last hack. There may have been one where I was as much as two hours late, but I forget. I've certainly missed by half an hour and still kept it running.
The totally unofficial rule which is widely held among the Ingress community (and which might be what Hydracyan is referring to) is that time is divided into 24-hour segments starting at the time of your very first hack (or very first hack after the badge was introduced), and you simply have to hack once in each segment. Of course, being unofficial, it could also be totally wrong; but it does go some way to explain both the above rules (the 24-hour rule and the grace period). I know that my time is some minutes after 9.30am, because if I hack at 9.30am it doesn't increase the counter, and if I then hack at 10am it does increase it. And it explains why I can be two hours late and still get it, provided yesterday's hack was after 9.30am.
If you only hack once a day then it will be very difficult to abide by the official rule and could also be tricky to abide by the unofficial rule. So if your very first hack in the game was at 9.00am on Monday, then you hacked at 8.59am on Tuesday and 8.58am on Wednesday then you're guaranteed a two-day hacking streak by both the official and unofficial rules. But if you hack at 9.01am on Thursday then you've broken the streak by both definitions, as it has been more than 24 hours since the last hack and you didn't hack in the period between 9am Wednesday and 9am Thursday.
Of course, if you always follow the official rule then you are guaranteed to be also following the unofficial rule, which is why the official rule works and is the best one to follow.
Mine was always sometime between 14 and 15h, once I had this figured out, none is my morning hacks counted up, and all of my afternoons counted. But I always checked the badges before finishing my daily hacks. There was many occasions that I just went out to get the point and it was always after that period. It might be wrong, but that's how I achieved my wings, and stoped at 777 (would be at 3x today if didn't stopped).
But before I figured this out, I was always hacking I the morning and at night. Not with the drones is almost impossible to loose it. Just hack early in the morning and at night. I'm on 309 again (since willingly stoped at 777), so isn't that hard to keep it.
The "official rule" was confirmed in an interview some years ago, in which they also confirmed that there is some grace period (but I vaguely remember them stating that it wasn't a fixed period). Like you, I have gone between 2 and 3 hours over my 24 hour period on one occasion, and a little over on 2 or 3 occasions.
The idea that the "unofficial rule" of the time is based on the first hack in your sojourner sequence would explain how we managed to pass our 24 hour time without losing our sojourner has merit, but it should be quite simple to test as well. As far as I am aware, nobody has done the necessary tests and posted it on any official forum.
My personal theory is that the server updates the sojourner count at regular intervals, so if you've gone over your 24 hour period but hack before the server update, your sojourner is safe.
I have managed to keep my sojourner going from the day I started and am currently at 2010 day. That despite a couple of near misses (when I was ill, when I was in a remote location in India). So I won't be putting any of these theories to the test any time soon! 😅
Cześć, czy ktoś wie jak zrobić, aby sojoourner naliczał? Skąd mam wiedzieć o której godzinie mam hakować? Próbowałem juz o każdej i nic... help...
Sojourner ticks up after the same time has elapsed since the previous day.
But also checks to see if you have hacked in the last 24 hours.
Generally, best to get into a routine to hack morning and evening every day.
That way if you forget a hack, you will still be able to hack again before the 24 hour check period is occurred.
Epoch on the other hand requires you to do a hack at any time during the day, which also requires you to be physically at a portal to hack it.
I did not understand by "first hack at 00:00h". How does that help?
