I recently noticed I lost a bunch of xmp as well as all my very rare stuff. Most importantly 5 very rare link amps I was asked to hold for our team. Is there a way to recover those very rare link amps? Especially since you can’t hack those

Yeah, those VR Link Amps you were asked to hold sound rather suspicious.
if u dont know the source where the items came from, consider them not legit aquired from beginning thats why they vanished.
not sure if everyone knows but niantic can track every item how hacked from beginning even if passed from one player to next.

While technically correct, all VRLA are 'sourced' from passcodes or duplication in Quantums. So they'd have to be deleting VRLAs that were duplicated in Quantums when they were being held by accounts that got subsequently banned.
