    I have to say that this thread is misleading right now.

    The original intention that I have had when I made this thread was based on my, and some other’s frustration on banning spoofers and multi accounts. To admit, I’ve never failed to ban a obvious spoofer pre-Lambert. Things may have changed, I might have seen something completely legit as a spoofer, etc...

    And after some rigorous discussion (mostly based on my frustration), I mentioned that what I saw may be legit. That again leads to where @LuoboTiX comes in, the one thing I remember on the forum looks, ‘yeah it is possible’. If there are more obvious spoofing activity, it is either 1. no spoofing, or 2. the report is so fragile. So I really encourage @LuoboTiX to share what he/she sees again.


    I wish this thread was, and remains for discussions about ‘it worked before, except Lambert’ things.

    Back to your original topic. Before the change of TR procedure in 20/Dec, I have never successfully banned any spoofer without the help of TR. While TR works and helped me ban quite a bunch of spoofers, general reports always result in automatic replies from Lambert with no solutions.

    Players here have raised or implied a new theory that it's because the reports I filed were not concised enough to be reviewed and thus customer support (Lambert?) has a reason not to review them and as long as I make it short it will be reviewed carefully. I will keep reporting to see if this is the case.

  • I get twitchy whenever I see someone say "I banned accounts". You did not ban anyone. No player has ever banned accounts.

    You reported accounts which were reviewed by Ops and actioned with a ban.

    Yes. I banned those accounts. It's because no others' doing the reports on specific targets I do. After and right after my report and TR escalation they are banned and TR has confirmed with me that they previously did not receive any other TR request for those targets.

    You may redefine that as you want while the essenece of my sentence does not forfeit. According to your line of reasoning aka playing word games, nobody literally owns Ingress account. They are Niantic's property according to Ingress T&Cs. Nobody plays Ingress, it's just somebody temporarily accessing to Niantic's property.

    Besides, considering the fact that currently it's already difficult and cost-inefficient for players to report and (help) ban cheaters, it's really EMPATHIC of somone making fun of the reporters. The good news is that as reporters have already overcomed enormous difficulties before reaching a solution, we do not get twitchy if 1 or 2 additional barries added by someone which is much less annoying than filing reports again and again.

    Back to the question, My frustration is a frustration, and may be legit. But what is yours, @LuoboTiX ?

    Are we still stuck on the discussion I remember(someone playing over 24hr?) or is there more evidence that backs you up?

    Whatever's the case, I think a separate thread is needed. Mention me there, I'll be happy to look.

  • Returning to this thread: Nia, could you please promote him to Pokemon GO? Or any other game support? The way person reply in templates to different incidents at the same second indicates that NOTHING is being done except templated auto reply. Thank you in advance

  • Well, maybe Lambert is a Superman using his extra speed reading to reply to several different incidents within couple seconds with template auto replies. Impressive actually! Agreed, his super ability may be more usefull in Pokemon Go with far bigger player base and guess hence increased incidents reports number. Nice suggestion here.
