Is there a way to have Ingress check the speed you're currently going when you attempt to hack/deploy/recharge? If so, and that number is greater than 0, then enforce a speedlock, but when I recharge all my keys before I leave for work in the morning, and then have my scanner open to collect XM, and then drive up and PARK to deploy resonators/hack 20 minutes later across town, I should be able to do that. Right now, I can switch to redacted and actually play. Prime won't make me quit, This will.
I find it weird that people have been constantly complaining about this for just about a whole year; it seems obviously wrong behaviour, and yet I haven't seen a single comment from Niantic about it.
This is getting ridiculous. I have the nerve to live my life and actually move without having Ingress running constantly on my phone, and as punishment I'm not allowed to use it for 5 minutes. 🤬
Yeah, this is the one thing that gets me back to Redacted occasionally at the moment. I've even managed to trip over the flippin' thing on foot thanks to catching Pokemon between portals in a portal-sparse area. It's really quite farcical, especially for a game where using navigation apps, chat apps, and Niantic's other products between locations is entirely legitimate and absolutely to be expected, and where the game itself is quite a power-hog and therefore sending the phone to sleep when there's no action is a very good idea.
C'mon Niantic, this is my one remaining "Oooooh f'ing Prime!!!" issue :)
Oh trust me, we have reported it many many many many times. Niantic just doesn't care about what we want. I spend most of my time speed locked, meaning that the game is unplayable most of the time. That's ok, I guess. It has resulted in me having more time to do other things than play Ingress.

This is highly annoying and needs fixing.

I first reported about the terrible speed lock issues nearly a year ago.
Much parity to be done first.
But, been wondering if this problem is being deliberately being left unfixed, due to bringing Adventure Sync to Prime?
In which case, only when the back end server code is upgraded will we see this one squashed

I hope Niantic listen on agents feedback and update AI Speedlock soon.
