Visual Glitches (text goes blocky, images randomly being replaced)

Based on the findings from my original thread, I can confirm that the following are still occuring in version 2.60:

Issues:

  • Randomly the graphics for the text will revert to unreadable blocks
  • Graphics for badges either go black or are replaced with portal images, mission badge images or some stock multi-coloured images
  • Graphics for items either go black or are replaced with portal images, mission badge images or some stock multi-coloured images
  • Portal photos changing to a random red text spritesheet or something
  • Screen disappears to black

Notes:

Usually this can be easily resolved by either:

  • Restarting the app
  • Going into Activities and viewing a random portal, then going back to the map.
  • This happens many, many times throughout the day and has been happening since version 2.55 at least.
  • I'm not sure exactly how to reproduce this, but it happens so often that surely Niantic development team have been experiencing these issues too lol
